Easily the best beer bar I’ve been to in all of Norway. Simply the best of everything I look for in such places. Extensive, varied and well-chosen draught list, focusing on Norwegian and other Scandinavian beers, but also some imports from the US. You can order in 0.35L or 0.25L pours, though the bartender was nice enough to let me split two beers into 0.25L pours to maximize the beers I could try and minimize wallet damage. No food or music playing here. Prices are very steep but that’s Norway. An absolute gem of a place. World class.

This place deserves to considered one of those beer meccas that gets gushing praise in beer nerd magazines. No music, no food, just 54 taps of beer in a place that solely focusses on the beer drinking experience. Yes a couple of taps are dedicated to Guinness and strongbow, but seriously if that annoys you then stay at home. A lot of the beers are Scandinavian with more than a handful of barleywines (at least when I was there). This is the best beer bar I’ve ever been to, be that in Europe or anywhere else in the world.

54 beers on tap, good friendly service, no loud annoying music blasting right into your ear, no hipsters (at least not on a Monday night) - what more do you need? Absolutely brilliant place, competes with any joint I’ve been to anywhere.

Unbelievable selection and nice, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Awful prices, though. And the decor isn’t that great. I do appreciate the lack of music, though.

Visited several times late October 2014. Cosily partitioned pub offering an extensive chalkboard of Norwegian, Danish, Belgian and English (Strongbow, anyone?) selections and complimentary heaps of peanuts. Approached this place frothing with anticipation within hours of alighting in Bergen having been tipped off it contained the biggest tap selection in Norway, possibly Europe. The chap (Henrik himself?) behind the bar was touchingly embarrassed by the paucity of range available (maybe 20, only about 5 Norwegian) apologetically explaining they were undergoing some work which meant half the chalkboard was wiped blank. Second night he took us through the freshly-connected off menu stuff he was forbidden to chalk up until 7pm so I appreciated that. Don’t really get the point of offering crap like Strongbow and Guinness alongside the finest hand-picked Norwegian and Danish obscurities or duplicating average Belgians (Chimay) which are better in bottle anyway but these are the quibbles of the well-travelled beer nerd and this incongruity is seen in craft beer bars all over the world.
Love the lack of pretension, warmth and outright beeriness of the place (No Nogne or Punk IPA which is on tap in virtually every bar in Bergen). Highly tick-centric spot; think The Wellington with twice the selection, no Brummies (except the wife) and half the stench. Bonus point. The most beer-focused place I’ve been in Norway.

I like this Place, and i am glad that someone recommended this Place for me. There is no Music and no serving at the tables, but when we approached the bar it was good service. A Nice Board With the selection on draft. A very good Place, and i will be back the NeXT time i am in Bergen.

Nice bar with good selection of both beers on tap and bottles, 54 different beers on tap. Looks like a popular place, but not too crowded on a thursday night, possible to get a seat, freindly and helpfull staff.

Very good selection both bottled and on tap. Good service. Grey ambiance though. Nice bar for a sunny afternoon (not very usual in Bergen).
Update: Now with 54 taps and the good service this is one of the best beer bars in Norway.
