The best selection of Euro beer in Svalbard, though I didn’t make it into the bars in Barentsburg to make sure (they presumably drink a lot of vodka in Barentsburg, not beer). Barentz has Erdinger Hefe and Dunkel, Estrella, San Miguel. About 15 bottles. Mack was the only Norwegian beer on tap. It has the nicest scene, and is less meat markety than SvalBar or Karl’s Pub.
If you really want to go off the beaten path, find Funken Bar located in Huset or instead go to Peisen Bar located in MaryAnn’s Polarigg to see where the locals go. Peisen has the most Norwegian beers (about eight).

This would not be considered for inclusion if it was anywhere else in the world, but it can justify a claim to be the Northernmost pub in the world. It is located in Longyearbyen on Svalbard. It is a hotel pub, with Mack pilsener and Mack Bayer on tap. Among the bottled beers I found Goose Island IPA plus three Erdinger beers, which is fairly good considering the logistics involved in getting the beer up there.
There are cozier pubs in town, but they are located slightly longer south and have more focus on either cognac or food.
And they have a special locker where you have to put your gun before entering the pub.
