Small location in the city center. Decent beer selection thou the staff (young girl behind the bar) didnt have any beer knowledge at all.

A modern bar "sandwiched" between modern office buildings. Only two beers on tap, but Herslev Økologisk Juleøl was outstanding! We met the owner who is a beer, cognac and cigar enthusiast. We came for an early "night cap" but ended up staying there for nearly 3 hours. Many nice people among the regulars. Small place located very close to Håndverkstuene. Very talkative owner that sat down with the guests. Most of the guests where regulars and it seemed that most knew eachother. The guests even hooked up their own Ipods to play music in the stereo system. Nice service. A very relaxed place in central Oslo. Quite good selection of beers, mostly Norwegian. I drank Haandbryggeriet IPA.

I like this place! The bartenders are funny and easy to talk to. They do have some strong opinions on what’s good and what’s not, but it’s amusing to just sit there and listen to arguments while enjoying some great beers. Small place with a pleasant atmosphere. 3 taps (Nøgne Ø, Budweiser Budvar and Borg) and ca 15 bottles. Not a very skilled staff, but you are likely to find the owner there, and he will not hesitate to give you his opinion on the different beers. Large closed off smoking area. |
