I definitely could have spent way too much money here. I wanted to buy everything but I was on a road trip so I got things not available to me. The beer section is awesome and huge. I picked up some Two Brothers, Hoppin Frog, Bells, Vertical 6 and 7. They seriously had so much great stuff. Very well organized and had some cold stuff and the rest on the shelves. Bring a big wallet and have fun here.

Wow, the ACME stores down my way carry a great selection but this one blows the others away. I was amazed at the extensive offering by this store. Walked away with some killer brews at great prices. This should be the 1st place to stop at in the area since they rival any other selection, and the prices will be the same if not lower. Absolutely amazing for a grocery store.

Nice grocery store that happens to have an entire section devoted to beer and liquor. A bit more of a selection than Mustard Seed Market, which is righ down the street. Many US micros are available, like Victory, Weyerbacher, AleSmith, and Three Floyds. There’s a good deal of Belgian 750’s as well, just nothing ultra-rare. Worth uncovering.

Acme didn’t always have such a great selection of brew, wine and spirits. The disappearance of the state liquor store may have brought them into a new market. The Montrose Acme has as a great selection of beer; as good or better than I have seen anywhere. I am glad to live 8 minutes away.

Grocery Store: All Acme’s have great selections for a grocery store. About the same as you would find at most beer/wine shops. Not really much in the way of being able to create mixed sixers or singles in general (unless Coors Light or Miller High Life is what you are after). Worth a look if you want a shop that is convenient to home.

Acme is a local grocery chain that carries an excelent beer selection. The selection varies in size by store (depending on thier customer base in a given area I presume). Beer from out of state Microbreweries tend to be out of date or close to out of date, but those beers can’t otherwise be found in this area.

This is the best grocery store selection I have ever seen. They had a little of everything. I visited every day I was there to try something new. A must if your in the area

Very nice liquor department in the back corner of the store. Funny that I used to shop here with my parents for groceries when I was a kid years ago and never knew what kind of beer splendor this place beheld. Nice cool, dark environment with some hard to find treats, and some stuff that I can’t get in the Milwaukee/Chicago area. I’ll make a point to hit this place each time I visit my parents back home.

This is one of the best places on the West side of Arkon to beer shop. You would never expect to find such a huge selection of beer in a grecerystore! They don’t sell single bottles, but there is usually somebody around that can help you find what you’re looking for

This Acme is located in the Fairlawn area of Akron in the West Market Plaza near I-77. Being a grocery store, the parking lot is plenty spacious. It is also only a short distance from some other good beer spots like Mustard Seed Market, World Market, Thirsty Dog and Winking Lizard.
I was simply blown away by the beer selection here. The beer section is in the rear of the store and is unlike anything I have seen in a grocery store. You can find beers from GLBC, DFH, Stone (they had the 7th), Moylan’s, Avery, Bell’s, etc. They even had a section devoted to Beligians and another to German beers. Other countries like Serbia were even represented. Truly impressive. The prices were good as well.
Another pleasant surprise was the service here. There was a nice woman keeping the area tidy and it appeared her job is to handle just this area. Kind of a beer stewardess. I recommend this place highly for anyone traveling to Akron or passing by Rt 18 on I-77.
