Oak Room

As a former employee, I worked at the Oak Room as the Chief Beer Officer, and my duty was to bring in the 5 new craft beers every two weeks, interacting with everyone from college kids, to professors, to locals. The oak room provides some good food, some good beer and a nice quiet place to get away from the traditional college kid bar.

This is a nice small restaurant/bar that is making an effort to bring quality beers, on tap, to rural southeast Ohio. The staff knows what they have well and can point you to the best match for you. They will also take suggestions on what to go after. Every two weeks, during the school year, they bring in 5 new beers, usually from a single brewer.

Very friendly staff and inviting atmosphere make Oakroom a very nice place to hangout... popular among students as well as residents and a nice place for beer enthusiasts...
