August 6, 2005 [ Updated August 18, 2006 ] This is also a bar with a beverage shop attached to it. You can purchase beers in the store and drink them on premise. The beers they have on tap will vary with the season, but it will not be macro swill...At least not American macro swill. The bar area is old school, meaning there is a checker floor, in place round bar stools, with an older looking, long, J shaped bar. The food is pretty decent, I had a grilled chicken sandwich w/ fresh cut potato chips. Contrary to the name, it is not a microbrewery. It used to be, but not any longer. The atmospere is pretty laid back w/ locals mostly attending this establishment. Adequate parking in the rear of the place, and they have beer tastings every so often. The only draw back is that they get most of the same beers all the time. Nothing new coming in. Unibroue is even a bit hard to find in this store |
