We finally got around to checking this place out, and rralized in the. Process that it was attached to Listermann... Anyway, once inside, we were pleasantly surprised. It’s not a huge spot, but it’s cozy. The owner is a really nice, approachable guy, and his service is great. The meads are good too, and they have a nice selection. Their meads are reasonably priced, but their spirits are expensive (although damn good). Definitely worth a stop, but be aware of their weekend-only hours.

OK we read about this place and decided to try it.Not in the best of locations so don’t go at night. The owner and his wife were real knowledgable about their product and very proud of it.The pours were way generous and well worth it.You can’t beat 5 nice pours for $11.They had meads, ports, icewines and other types of wine.Their bottle prices were inexpensive, however their bourbon, which you cannot sample, is off the price chart at $95 for a fifth.Overall we will dsefinately be back.

Okay, this place is way unexpected. The area appears to be in the rebuilding phase. We were greeted by owner and his wife immediately upon entering. Both were knowledgable and friendly. We tried ten different wines, meads, and ports. And all of them were very well crafted and tasty. Their meads were delicious. We ended up buying many bottles here. 11 dollars for five GENEROUS pours and a free glass. You cant beat this. This is a must visit if you are in the area. Wish we could have tried their Bourbon! Stupid Ohio Laws...

I stopped in on my way to Listermann’s. Woodstone has wine, port, cider and distilled beverages. All of their stuff is small batch and well crafted. Ten bucks - 5 tastes and a Woodstone wine glass, not a bad deal. The owner is a nice guy to talk to, he really seems to know the industry.

Woodstone Creek Winery and Boutique Distillery is located in the same building as Listermann Manufacturing Company and Listermann Brewer & Vintner Supply. For as many times as I’ve been into Listermann’s, I can’t believe that I didn’t know about Woodstone Creek Winery until I found out about it a month or so ago from two guys from Tennessee! Oh well, now I know and I recently had the opportunity to stop in and taste the meads. Very good stuff! Right now (January 2007) they have 7 meads (2 of which are fortified), 9 wines, 2 additional ports, and 5 spirits! I case you missed it in the name, Wookstone Creek is also a distillery - Ohio’s first and only microdistillery! I was fortunate enough to be their while Donald Outterson was there. He is the owner and winemaker and has a wealth of information about the brewing industry, wine and beer making, distilling, and everything else associated! It was a privilege to have the opportunity to talk to this accomplished guy while sipping his wonderful meads! Wine and mead samplings are available in the tasting room and bottles can be purchased as well. Well worth the stop if you’re in the area and enjoy wine and mead or just happen to be picking up some homebrew supplies at Listermann’s!

Easy to locate off of I-71 on to Dana and to Newton. Street parking in front with lot parking on other side of building. Green door on building is the tasting room. Clean tasting room with bar for 10 to 12 people. Good selection of meads, wines and dessert wines. Don served the samples in engraved wine glass. Good knowledge of meads and the brewing industry. All mead samples were very good quality and the honey port was first class. Enjoyed the visit and will return.

Woodstone Creek has a well laid out website with a great deal of information about the operation, personnel and products. The tasting room is small and seats a dozen or so and you will be served by the mead maker and his wife, so any questions you have will be answered by a very knowledgable staff. The products include 6 meads, 8 wines, 4 fortified wines and distilled spirits. The other side of the building is occupied by Listermann MFg, so check out the homebrew supplies at the same time.
