| JCB (17), Durham, North Carolina | | March 30, 2008 Very cool store that I visited while seeing a friend in C. Heights. Old school liquor store with old school brothers minding the shop. Multiple rows of top notch brew. Many things I can get regularly (Bells, Avery, Weyerbacher, S’hampton, etc.) but tons that I cannot (Alesmith, JP special releases, Founders, Hoppin Frog, etc.). Dropped some fairly serious coin in here, which probably says it all. | | Sammy (206), Toronto, Ontario | | January 15, 2008
This small store is convenient if you are in the Heights. It uses nook and cranny to sell what people want and it can get in terms of beer, homebrewing supplies and the wine and hard alcohol that makes up the store’s majority. It is family run, with Paul being the beer specialist. The regular line of several Michigan brewers, as well as Full Sail, Goose Island and the like. A basic selection of Belgians and above average selection of U.K. Paul’s brother was willing to break up a few 6-packs for me which was appreciated. A home brewer was there at the time and quite satisfied with his selection.
| | Brigadier (68), Chagrin Falls, Ohio | | January 2, 2008 I stopped by here one afternoon since I was already in the area. Perhaps I am a little spoiled by stores like Chuck’s, Bella Vino and Steve’s Liquor and More. The selection was great but there were few rare or hard to find beers on the shelf. I ended up picking up a few things like Boss Cox.
This is worth a stop if you are in the area but I would not go out of my way to visit. It is on par with Southland Beverage in my opinion - solid but not spectacular. | JMYWHSPRS (1), Cleveland, Ohio does not count | | August 7, 2007 The selection and eccletic knowledge of a beer and wine has made this place a favorite of mine. It is about a 40 min. drive from my west Cleveland home but, it is worth it. My frineds as well are always willing to make the drive. | | jmikolich (11), Athens, Ohio | | July 25, 2007 Nice store, just down the road from me, which is nice, they sell singles but wont break sixers to make singles, they do it on their own accord. lots of volume here, with a small space (~12 feet) of 22oz bottles, 3F, Hoppin Frog, Alesmith, Stone and the like... a few belgians but nothing over the top, a big plus being close to home, bad thing is they DO NOT take AMEX | | ogglethorp (22), Ohio | | December 14, 2006 Great beer selection for some one from outta town like myself. Alesmith, a few Southampton, 3 Floyds, Bells, Founders, Weyerbracher, etc. The store itelf is nothing fancy. Friendly staff. | | TheOrange (12), Kent, Ohio | | July 1, 2006 Great beer selection. Another place tha that allows you to mix and match six packs. They are pretty knowledgable not only the beers they can get, and beer types, but they have a great handle on their inventory. I asked where the barley wines were, there was no barely wine section, but he walked up the aisles and point to 4 or 5 types to choose from. I great place, although it is a bit cramped. | | RagallachMC (30), Cleveland, Ohio | | June 7, 2006 IMHO, the best beer store in Cleveland. They have a huge selection that is broken down by region, with a large selection of American craftbrews. The staff knows their stuff and has answered every question that I’ve asked. | | MikeF (69), Cleveland, Ohio | | March 11, 2004 Just started patronizing this establishment recently. Actually, I never really knew that it existed until recently. It is probably the best beer spot in the Univ Hts, Clev Hts, South Euclid area. They have a nice variety of styles and a number of brews sold as single bottles. Although its not a treasure trove, it definitely blows away Giant Eagle across the street. | ampp (2), Cleveland, Ohio does not count | | February 29, 2004 I always find a large selection of ales, stouts, and whatever I'm looking for at this store. The people are always extremely friendly. They have a decent collection of beers from around the world and also a decent selection of Micro-brews from around the U.S. If you don't want an entire six pack, but only want to sample something, you can usually find a single bottle in the cooler for a good price. | View Page : 1 2
