notalush | I only stopped in this place because it is in the same building as Boston Bistro, and I wanted a beer to bring back to my hotel - there was a sign outside that claimed it was the largest wine cellar in Dayton, and if that’s true then that is sad, because this place in tiny - mostly focused on wine (duh), this place was a little bit lacking in the beer department IMHO - a small shelf in front, and a decent amount in the cooler (mostly flying dog, bells, and rogue) - they had bombers of ruination and yulesmith, though, which is pretty good I guess - I grabbed a bomber of wooden shoe bock because it was essentially the only thing in the store I’d never tried before - kind of a lame-ass place, really - the guy behind the counter was friendly, though.

shigadeyo | Boston Wine Cellar is located in the same building as Boston’s Bistro & Pub (underneath/first floor). I stopped in to check out their selection on 2/22/2007. In addition to have a bunch of wine, they also have a lot of beer - probably a couple hundred different ones or so. It seemed to be most of the usual beers available in Ohio (Great Lakes, Bell’s, Dogfish Head, Founder’s, Stone, Rogue, etc.). Even better, nearly all of the beer is in a large walk-in/through cooler! Most of it is by the pack, but they do have some singles (22 oz and 750 mL) including Wooden Shoe (I’ve been wanting to try this!), AleSmith, etc. I picked up some Wooden Shoe Lager and Bock (made in Munster, Ohio) and was on my way. A pretty good place with a fairly large selection of macro, micro, and craft beer...
