greedycheater (4), Oklahoma does not count - explanation | | March 8, 2008 An English pub in OKC! Great on a rainy afternoon if you want to throw darts - real darts. After 8, too much smoke, too many cougars. | | ¾ (599), Colorado | | April 22, 2006 [ Updated May 8, 2006 ] I can not find much to like about Baker St. pub. On the weekend it is strictly a meat market, and anyone over 24 may feel out of place (I’m 26, I was old at this place). The beer selection beats any restaurant in the area sans Fox and Hound (right down the street), but the ambiance of a crowded meat market bar filled with scene girls is terrible. If you are in the area, this place is worthwhile in the afternoon, but after 8pm you should probably hit the Fox and Hound - they have mostly the same beer selection and less of a lame crowd. Selections available include Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, Chimay bottles, Warsteiner, Boulevard selections, and Samuel Adams Winter Lager, to name a few. | | jetzler (11), oklahoma city , Oklahoma | | April 10, 2006 Its a very good bar for OKC, now I know this is not saying much, the selection is limited, maybe 40 different beers, but thats about as good as it gets here. Staff is attentive except for the bar, which is very slow and likes to ignore guest, I have sat for about 5 mins on a friday night without even being acknowledge. I am a bartender by the way and I know the difference between being busy and being lazy. I asked the bartender if they carried any Fullers products being an "English" pub to which he replied "never hear of it" he recommend a 50/50 mix of cider and Harps, it was not good. I had a boddingtons and left. Nothing great here but we have a terrible beer culture in Oklahoma. |
