its awesome to go down to this brewery. you can get a tour any time you ask and they are always willing to offer you the best service they can. there is one employee that holds them back in the service department but other then that this place rules. when they open their lounge my ass will be in one of their seats frequently. they have their regualr list products availible all the time and all of them are great. stop by if your ever in cambridge. GRAND RIVER BREWING ROCKS!

I live in KW so this is a staple beer spot for me. It occupies the old Galt Knife building, which I think used to be some sort of blacksmith factory (I really am not sure, don’t take my word for it!), but it’s a really nice old part of Cambridge, and you can throw a rock into the Grand River from the brewery (if those damn new town houses weren’t in the way). As soon as you can see the brewery, you can smell that delicious odor of boiling mash and wort. The retail store is the smallest part of the whole premise, with a decent sized fridge full of growlers of the various amazing brews. The staff are usually quite friendly and helpful if need be, and I love making the trip down to Galt every time. If you live in the GTA or remotely close to Waterloo region, I strongly suggest checking this place out!

Stopped in the other day. Pretty cool old building that used to be a knife-making plant. The building setup is a small retail shop which leads into a large tasting room with a bar that they have 3 taps for samples and possibly a growler or 2 they they pour samples from as well. Of course, they only have their own beers, but all were solid and I particularly like the Mild. Beyond the tasting room is the brewery itself which is pretty standard. The staff consisted of two guys that make the beer, both very friendly and accomodating and they’ll chat you up plenty. They have some big plans for the place and hopefully it works out for them because they make some quality beer. A cool stop.

A new brewery located in historic Cambridge, Ontario. The beers are great (you may sample before you buy), and the staff are often also the people who brew the beer. Very knowledgeable, informative, enthusiastic,. and willing to chat about beer, etc. The building is an old knife manufacturing company so there’s lots of history and ambiance. I rated selection as being quite high, as they are still a new brewery, and are already offering 4 regular beers as well as seasonal ones, with more on the way. The retail store sells beer in growlers, shirts, openers, glassware, and other things beer related. The beer is world class, and so was the service.
