| fakepurseninja (50), Washington | | August 3, 2009 Loved the location, Great old school house and theater. Beautiful style and design. Good prices on the samplers - but...oh boy; what crappy beer and matching service. | | solsticebrew (13), , | | June 29, 2009 Totally Great. I love this place. Don’t let it intimidate you. Walk around, have a good time. The beer is great. Have a beer and watch a movie. | | WeeHeavySD (102), San Diego (Hillcrest), California | | February 17, 2008 Came in for breakfast/lunch and beer when leaving Bend. 1/2/08, with Bikesandbeer and his girlfriend Jessi. Pretty nice vibe, really tasty food, decent beer. Worth a stop if your in bend. | | jake65 (57), Williston, North Dakota | | May 23, 2007 Stopped in for dinner, quick seating and nice service. The table was in a dark area, but quiet. Brews offered were failry standard for McMenamins with three seasonals. I’d like to come here again. | | beerinmarch (118), Alabama | | December 14, 2006 This was a nice mcmenamins, big open courtyard in the center surrounded by and old school. Beer was your normal mcmenamins brews and food was typical. As with most mcmenamins the services kinda sucked, they forgot about our table both times I was there. At least it was a sunny day and we got the patio. | | BrewDad (239), Olympia, Washington | | November 13, 2006 [ Updated September 4, 2008 ] McMenamins just seems to know what they are doing when it comes to changing these old places. Loved the look and the feel. This was a great place. Had a great time with the pub and we had the room all to ourselves. We watched football and sat next to a roaring fire which was awesome. The beer was killer and we really enjoyed the fall day. This is a must for any McMenamins fan this place has the atmosphere to die for. In the future would love to stay here the night. | | harlequinn (112), Tacoma, Washington | | May 26, 2006 Decent place to stay, lots of nice amenities, but go somewhere else to drink. The staff here is clueless, and McMenamins beers blow anyway. | Kaygy (1), La Verne, California does not count - explanation | | July 13, 2005 Stopped here for lunch. Sat outside by the sidewalk and enjoyed the city. The service and food was good. Stopped at the bar and spotted at least 20 taps but the sampler was only six ales. The bartender said I could come back and taste the others if I wanted to. Needed to get back on the road so I could not take him up on the offer. | | BückDich (215), McCall, Idaho | | March 11, 2005 Very super awesome place to stay in Bend. If you are on a beer trip or just like beer, this is the only good place to stay. Here’s your day: stop at Cascade Lakes lodge for dinner, check into the hotel or hostel, park the car and walk to Bend brewing, Deschutes brewing & Silver Moon Brewing. All within 5-8 blocks of this place! Sham and I stayed here and opted for the hostel. Very nice cozy room, all linens provided. $30 per person. Private showers and everything. There’s a pub and a bar, both of which are open late. Staying here gives you free access to the Theatre and, best of all, the soaking pool. Nothing is more surreal than doing a pub crawl of Bend to come back at 1AM, get a pint at the fireside lounge then come soak in the sitting pool before bed. Simply an amazing experience, I can hardly believe it was so cheap. Best McMenamins experience ever. |
