gracefullypunk (3), Washington does not count - explanation | | June 8, 2009 Value more reflects the price on food, not the price of beer. Wide selection of Rogue taps, of course, as well as the Eugene City seasonals. Waiter was pretty up on things and brought me a free sample when he discovered I was on ratebeer--said I had to try the Glen Ale, brewed each year just for Eugene’s Sasquatch Beer Festival. The food was eh, but they also had a limited menu during the festival, so that could be why. | | Beardface (35), Eugene, Oregon | | May 11, 2009 Pretty typical layout of Rogue places, though I do like the downstairs area which I’ve been in for various graduation parties and whatnot, very cozy down there. The food is typical of the Rogue places, the kobe burgers are dank as hell and the beer cheese soup is nearly as good as that at the Bier Stein. The hazelnut brown bread is delicious. The beer is typical Rogue fare, with a few local taps. The 200 meter ale is the best of these local brews. The place gets a little rowdy some nights, as benefits a bar in the downtown area of a university town. | | Ungstrup (245), Frederiksberg, Denmark | | September 29, 2008 A pretty traditional brewpub catering to college kids, big wooden bar, wooden tables, and a dimly lit downstairs, where most of the brewery is situated. Sampled the 4 different beers that I hadn’t tried before - too bad it is owned by Rogue, otherwise I’d expect a bigger variety of house beers. Had the beers for free - so the value was high. I’d like to come back to Eugene to visit my friends, so I might pop in again. | | KAggie97 (155), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring , Texas | | August 6, 2008 Tucked away on a corner in a pedestrian neigbhorhood, the Eugene City Brewery and Rogue Ales bar is a nice little diversion for some good brews. Food is served (I had a Kobe slider... it was quite decious!) and beer flows like water. Great selection of the namesake’s brews, and some of their offerings are sold in to-go bottles. All in all, it’s worth the stop, if only for a Kobe burger. Mmmmmmm....... Kobe burger....Oh, and guys are hops. You’ll know what I’m talking about after the first round or two... | frndthdevl (1), San Diego, California does not count - explanation | | July 31, 2008 [ Updated August 5, 2008 ] Very nice place situated downtown. The service was excellent either on the outside patio or the sidewalk. Good selection of Rogues and some brewed on site as well as countless others.
Great music. RailroadE earth was playing that night around the corner,we took a disc of RRE in and they spun it for us.
Probably family friendly as well. | | NickVega (28), Eugene, Oregon | | August 13, 2007 [ Updated August 17, 2007 ] Every Rogue Ale that I can think of was on tap plus 5-6 Tracktown Ales (Rogue’s Eugene Brewery) and guest taps. | | bhensonb (287), Woodland, California | | June 29, 2007 Another great Rogue setting. Went to get bottles. Waitstaff was extremely helpful. Looked to be a very nice setting. Great selection of Rogue in bottles. | adamnfineman (5), Springfield, Oregon does not count - explanation | | August 17, 2006 Can’t complain about the beers, as Rogue is the best in the biz! Try the Rogue French Dip...the food is overpriced, but it’s a bar, so you expect that. Show up on Friday nights for Mr. Bill’s Trivia, but you won’t beat me! | Rrusso1775 (2), Eugene, Oregon does not count - explanation | | February 14, 2006 Can anyone complain about getting a free half yard of quality beer on their birthday? Their Natty Dread that is on draught right now-whcih won a medal at the GABF-blows my mind everytime I try it. 12 Growler, sweet deal. The time Conrad, the manager, gave us a free half-barrel...even better. | | harlequinn (112), Tacoma, Washington | | January 7, 2006 This in my opinion is the best place in town to drink. The service is exquisite, Jason and Dave are killer and really know what people want and like. Food is overpriced and super expensive. Killer beer though |
