Our stop here on a brewpub crawl in Portland was poorly planed, since we got here before opening hours, which during weekdays isn’t before 4 PM. But luckily for us they were brewing and I was in a group of brewmasters, so we were let into the brewery and given a brief introduction to the brewery and the opportunity to sample their beers. The brewery is set in a shack, but the brewery itself is iin really good condition. The bar area reminds me of a saloon, lots of wood and picnick tables. I got 5 new ratings here.

First impression is this place seems pretty cool, but- going inside the first thing I notice is the odd layout. The order here sign beckons you to squeeze past the people sitting at the picnic table about 2 feet in front of the bar and then again to squeeze past the line of people queued alongside aforementioned picnic table, this time with your sloshing beers. The actual bar service was quick and very adequate. Selection of house beers was good. A couple of IPAs (the Desolation was pretty drinkable) and a really drinkable Pale Ale (Dusty Trail). The porter needed work, very acrid. Overall, a nice place despite the somewhat hipster scene- outdoor area was more laid back than the inside coffee-shop feel. Plus- pretty flowers on table Minus- T-shirts not available in XL.

Didn’t get to try the food, good though it smelled. The beers was surprisingly good - the Copacetic IPA and Slow Train Porter were particularly good. A good drinking hall if one is in the area.

A pretty cool place, unpretentious, corrugated metal building, food cooked on a grill outside. Tap selection is mainly house beers, I believe they had one guest tap on. Beers were fairly solid, snausage was good. Prices are reasonable. Decent place to go.

Casual is the best term to describe this place. I liked it very much. I love drinking beer in a working brewery. Others have reported here that the beer was not all that memorable. I disagree. I had an IPA that was exceptional. Again, this place is casual and you should not expect anything fancy. Just good beer in a relaxed, neighborhood atmosphere.

Killer place with old school jazz playing in the background. The bartender was off lighting candles everywhere when I walked in. Bags of various brewing materials daunt the dining room. YOu can bring in your own vinyl, so I requested some Coltrane and that was cool to sit and drink some good quality beers and listen to soothing jazz. No one is going to bother you here, drink until dismay and no one will blink an eye. They have a more than adorable bartender and did I mention the great jazz, how cool is that? Or it could have just been I was hammered by the time I left here, who knows

The selection was ok. Makes 5 different beers, all which were good, but not overly noteworthy. I went to this place just for the name. It is small with most of the seating outside. The had a large grill going for burgers and dogs. The food was pub fare and ok. Not a bad place if you have time, but certainly others that are more note worthy

Located in a converted metal working warehouse with a open air feel. The beers are very good and the staff was friendly. I didn’t have any of the food but a friend of mine did have a burger a liked it. Cool place.

Neat location -- a corrugated metal warehouse kind of place. We sat outside under a tent that was attached. Food was limited -- they were serving up sausages -- but what there was was decent enough. The weakest offering on the day was the beer, which struck me as a series of below average offerings.

Another non-corporate brewpub. Shed-like ambiance and a few house beers. None of those were stellar, but none bad either. They had a barbeque out front. Spacious and communal. Not to everyone’s taste I don’t imagine but I like that sort of place.
