Lots of Deadhead memorabilia. Slow but friendly service. They spilled my stout, and not only replaced it, didn’t charge me for it. Standard Mcmenamin pubkos, standard McMenamin’s beer. Though there’s only street parking, I’ve never had any trouble finding any.

This is a cool place to pop in and check out even if you are not a fan of the Dead. Lots of cool memorabilia on the walls and you are surrounded by Hawthorne and its denizens, one of the coolest neighborhoods in Portland. Pop in if you are going to Bridgeport or Lucky Labrador as they are right up the street.

Like batkins said, this place is loaded with Deadhead stuff. Typical mcmenamins slow service and alright food. The beer was your standard mcmenamins line up, rotating one through the nitro and one through the cask.

Been going here since I was 10. Typical McMenamin’s food and service, but the personalities of Hawthorne really show in this place. The usual suspects in terms of beer, but they mix it up often enough to keep things interesting.

Your usual McMenamin’s food and beer, but at least this one has some personality. Grateful Dead stuff everywhere. Pool tables. Good, friendly wait staff.
