| KyotoLefty (131), Kyoto, Japan | | September 12, 2009 Great atmosphere, beers were better than expected--very good, in fact. Bartenders were rather un-knowledgeable and unfriendly, which was a bit of a drag, though it might just have been the time of day. Would like to go back for more of their beers, though. | | Rastacouere (475), Montréal, Quebec | | July 14, 2009 A most pleasant brewpub, a large, high-ceilings, old hangar with a dog thematic that I dig. The neighborhood does not seem particularly lively, but it remains fairly central and within walking distance of several other pubs. Picnic tables everywhere, including some on the surprisingly pleasant terrace by an empty parking lot. Very calm place on the friday afternoon we visited. Relaxed feel and seemingly interesting and simple food. The board reminds of Pizza Port’s in fact. I had an excellent alt here and the beers were generally tasty with a broad, varied selection including cheap bottles to go. A most pleasant experience that I’d gladly repeat next time I’m in Portland. My kind of laid-back place. | | boFNjackson (54), Portland, Oregon | | January 8, 2009 I like Lucky Labrador. They make great beer and their pubs offer some tasty cheap eats. Their brewpubs are a little two warehouse for me. Great for when you’re with a large crowd, but not so personal and homey like you may get at Laurelwood or Bailey’s. Also, their servers are little on the too cool for school crowd. | | after4ever (126), Brier, Washington | | November 16, 2008 [ Updated November 17, 2008 ] Nothing wrong with this place at all. Like so many people and places in PDX, it’s eco-friendly, bike-friendly, artist-friendly, and has a sense of humor. So cool. It’s a reclaimed woodshop in a high-ceilinged space; roughly warehouse-y proportions. Light fixtures on many posts are kegs. Picnic tables strung out as in a hofbrau. Clean and tidy but no wasted cash--they wall off a couple dining room/meeting rooms, and the bathrooms, but other than that it’s just a bright, clean box with local art to set the tone. The staff is young, probably artsy, pretty good at what they do. Samplers took a while to fill, but you love the plave anyway. Great feel throughout. | | Hawksfan17 (46), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | September 23, 2008 I rated this place high because of the service and value mostly. They are excellent and they have a great selection. I only knocked it because some of the beers are the same styles. The food is normal pub fare and I love the warehouse atmosphere. Good beer too! | | billk (35), Coeur d’Alene, Idaho | | August 30, 2008 [ Updated November 2, 2009 ] This is my kind of place. Good beer, good food, completely laid back atmosphere, unpretentious service in an old, spacious, open air truck garage.
Sampled most of their offerings and even the styles I don’t usually care for were quite well made and enjoyable.
I highly recommend this Portland watering hole.
I’m coming here again. | | BuckeyeBoy (57), Boise, Idaho | | August 8, 2008 We stopped into the location near Johns Market. Very open inside. A nice selection of house brews along with a DFH brew on. The Pizza was very good. The staff know what was going on aswell. | | Pivoyager (36), Gaithersburg, Maryland | | August 7, 2008 Something of a converted garage in Northwest Portland. Great brews and comfortable atmosphere. Your typical laid back Portland drinking establishment. | | hoffshow (11), Newport Beach, California | | July 30, 2008 Truly unique brew pub in the middle of a neighborhood. Does feel like a huge wooden warehouse with picnic tables inside and high ceiling. Sat outside in their open air patio/parking area. Great selection of beers, sampled 6 and enjoyed every one. | | BeerZack (11), Austin, Texas | | March 28, 2008 This place is great. Huge warehouse type open-space with nice beerhall feel. There are some side rooms and smaller tables available as well. Counter service was really good early Saturday afternoon, guy with the beard on early shift was really friendly and knowledgeable. Didn’t try the food at this location. The beer here was excellent, what I have come to expect from LL. They offered at least 4 different (house) IPAs and were all very good, I highly recommend the Triple Threat IPA. Highly recommend this place to anyone. |
