A good place for great beer and great food. Great pizza an killer salads -- the Chicken Cesar is outstanding! I really like the Alt and the Porter. They had an excellent Scotch Ale, too.

Nice little place that offers outside seating for summer get togethers, although the SE location has more personality.

A great place right next to John’s market, really big open building that used to be a masonic lodge. They had some really nice beers on tap, no guest taps, but their brews were all really good. They had some of the most aromatic brews I have ever found in a small craft brewery. They will do a sampler plate of all their beers if you ask, good sized samples too.

Good little pub. I was there during off hours so business was light. Pizza was great. Beers were suprisingly better than I remember them being. Two guest taps available.

Not a bad place, just lacks a bit the character of the original. Of course the closeness to John’s is a plus. No more guest taps. Pizza was pretty good.

Built in an old theater/church looking place. Inside is two stories, didn't go upstairs. Downstairs is all wood work. Chalk board menu, pizza sort of things. The place was packed full of dread locked stinky hippies in front of the bar and behind. The place was clean and well taken care of. The beers on tap represented a good amount from lucky with a few guest beers as well. The sampler tray took forever because our apparently stoned waitress dropped the first tray of them. I liked the beers though! The best thing about this place is that it's about 2 blocks from John's Marketplace so it can't be missed because everyone going through Portland should go there.

Located just a block down from John's Marketplace, the Lucky Lab Puclic House is housed in an old church building with extremely high celiings. Has indoor and outdoor picnic tables ideal for large gatherings. The food menu is centered around the pizza, which is absolutly excellent... spicy pepperoni like you're supposed to use. Prices are about $2 per slice. The beer selection includes most Lucky Lab offerings plus a couple of local extras. A very cool place to stop in, grab a beer and a quick bite and read the paper.
