| boFNjackson (57), Portland, Oregon | | February 6, 2007 [ Updated February 18, 2007 ] I’m not too impressed with this one like I am with most McMenamins. The track lighting all along the perimeter of the place set a very uncomfortable mood. Service wasn’t too great unlike like most of McMens, and it was tight and loud. The sign said seat yourself, but any table that was available (which was about three or four of them) had dirty plates and needed to be cleaned. We waited about 10 minutes before we could sit. Food was great, I enjoyed an awesome patty melt and the Terminator Stout mustard was on the table which is great. But I would otherwise skip this one. | | BrewDad (239), Olympia, Washington | | June 27, 2006 [ Updated September 4, 2008 ] This is the first McMenamins tucked in a mini mall and to my surprise it was really nice inside. NO AC on a 100 degree day but we had a great time. The food was the same as always good. The brews where plenty and awesome. They have some of there own unique brews and they also have PBR on tap. Kids are ok for this place. The service still sucks. I wish McMenamins would hire better. | | ¾ (638), Boulder, Colorado | | December 13, 2004 [ Updated October 4, 2008 ] Though it’s the closest one to where I used to live in Beaverton, and I like to visit often, it’s really just another strip-mall McMenamins. They brew their own, so you’ll usually find a few recipes not offered at other McMenamins, and the cook here is probably the best of all of their pubs - he’s been there for close to 10 years and does the Wilbur (big ass burger with egg on it) very well. Always treated well here. There are two or three picnic tables located out front, and inside it’s the usual set up of booths and tables, with an enclosed, painted brewing setup taking up almost half of the floor space. Don’t go out of your way to hit this place, but if you’re in west Portland or in Beaverton, it’s a good place to go for pub grub and drinks. | | BückDich (215), McCall, Idaho | | October 18, 2004 Another one of those McMenamins in a strip mall. If you need a place to drink micros on a late busy night, McMenamins is there, but NOT the place you want to go. |
