Small brewpub located in what looked to have once been a small house. Had a very British pub feel to it. The bar was small and looked to be situated in the kitchen? They had 10 house beers the day I visited which were identical to the selection at the other McMenamins across town (Boon’s Treasury).

Nice little brewpub with many friendly locals. Probably the most attentive service I have had in a few years. Descent beers all around. Nothing lousy, but nothing extraordinary either.

We sat outside this summer and it was quite nice. Some of the beer I wanted to try was not there, overall, it was great though.

Situated in the South side of Salem..just off a very busy street. It was an independent Brewery/Pub ( founded 1990) before McMenamins took it over around 3 years ago. Some beers are still brewed on the premisies..others come from McMenamins bigger breweries. Its quite a strange Pub ( well most MacMen places are !!)Its in a large rambling late Victorian mansion. The actual bar is tiny but cosy ( 12s a crowd in it) The restaurant tables are scattered all over both floors of the house. There is a pretty sizable beer garden out the back which is terrific fun in the Summer. The food on offer is typical McMenamins..sandwichews, soup, burgers, hummus, etc pretty tasty. The staff tend to be &quo;alternative&quo; in appearance but are very friendly and attentive..kinda laid back dude! The selection was mostly MacMenamin bers on tap with Dead Guy Ale, Pilsner Urquell and unfortunatly Coors light thrown in. It was great that in the 4 hours I was there i did not see a single Coors light pint being poured..and it was extremelly busy with families etc in the restaurant. All in all a cool neighboourhood hang out!
