September 14, 2010 We did a full tour of all the Bend area breweries/brewpubs. Our hands down favorite place for beer was Three Creeks. Excellent hoppy beers including the Firestorm Red (60 IBUs and my choice) and the Hoodoo Voodoo IPA (82 IBUs). We sat at the bar and next to Pat the Brewer at lunch. He was heading out that afternoon to pick fresh hops for a Harvest IPA coming up. With previous experience at both Anderson Valley and Deschutes, his abilities shine through in some great beers! Note that the food prices are a little high - but you do get large portions. And they told us about some Half Orders (not listed) that were plenty of food for one person.
August 3, 2009 Nice place on the edge of Sisters. Nice new building, very posh interior and design - reminded me of Black Raven in Redmond, WA but with a full restaurant. Food was ok but a little pricey for the quantity. Beer was decent - a little mediocre and tame for what I was looking for.
July 12, 2009 We stopped here for the first time on a trip from Bend to Astoria. We had a nice day and sat on the deck which was very pleasant.
Service was a bit slow, but once they got our sampler trays and food order it was adequate.
There beers were nicely balance and had we not been traveling, I would have stayed for a pint of their Twisted Sister IPA. The IBA was nicely balanced between hops and malt. A number of black IPA’s are showing up and theirs is a bit low on hops.
The food was good. Sweet potato fries were a nice option. This was a good lunch stop just out of Bend and the long drive to Portland.
