You have heard of a craft beer? Well, this is a craft saloon. Everything in this place is out of the late 1890’s. All of it, is rustic, from the loose knob on the front door to the beautifully hand painted walls - another past era. Two stories of nothing but unrefined planks and bricks. In typical gunsmoke style, I imagine Miss Kitty coming down the stairs. Watch your step walking in, don’t come here with a buzz because you want to remember it as is not as a passing dreamy fantasy. The bar downstairs has names and phrases slashed into it as if it was the side of an old familiar tree. Upstairs the bar is a little newer it is a big 2” slab of plywood. Prices are out of this century too, $3 for a tapped pint of Dominion Oak Barrel Stout? It certainly seems dollars have a high value in this county. Just as much as values of the old Beaver County heart of steel town. There is a Pumkin Fest down there every fall that you do not want to miss. This place is eccentric and esoteric in the same breath, get ready for your out of the ordinary saloon experience. Don’t accidentally drop your Kruggerands or Euros, they might fall between the planks of the irregular hardwood flooring. On the borderline or one step above ratebeer’s ‘Represent a region’s highest quality beer establishments’ required places criteria. This place should be on the old country tour circuit.
