The food is good but the beer selection is almost like any other bar. | | coldbrewky (50), Saugerties, New York | | September 25, 2007 Steinie’s 1818 is a fantastic continuation of a the Tavern that has been there sine.....you guessed it 1818. This was my local pub andlast night the frist time to return in about four years. The changing of ownership has not affected this bar in the least. The massive renovation and restoration of the interior certainly shows. this bar was the frist place I purchased beer (I was eight and sent there to get some 4th of July party growlers...beer made me popular!) The old time charm of this eatery/bar helps the pints go down easily. Prices are not out of this world for quality food and drink. Too bad the 1.50 Chesterfield Ales are now a thing of the past. |
