| vze1mhay (12), Stroudsburg, | | October 24, 2009 Excellent small brewery with good selection of reqular brews and exciting seasonals. It is always an adventure to vist and try what’s new | | jmm635 (33), Havertown, Pennsylvania | | July 24, 2009 There is something special about the simplicity of this brewery. Housed in the most unassuming warehouse I’ve seen. No frills - just good beer. Selection is obviously limited to their own beers, but nearly every one is available for tasting on tap, or they’ll open a bottle for you. With the alcohol content of their line-up you can easily leave here with a good buzz (and a free one!). Not a bad tour, simple and straight forward. Beer is sold by the case, but you can mix and match any 12-oz bottle. This is a great brewery to return to because they are always releasing something new! | | wilsomb (29), State College, Pennsylvania | | June 24, 2009 Go here! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Best tasting I’ve seen! They have every beer that’s available to them (maybe 15-20 beers) to try over and over again for no charge. Go there, you won’t be disappointed! I will be back. | | AguynamedTodd (17), Indiana | | April 16, 2009 Wasn’t too difficult to find. Good directions are a must. The brewery, warehouse, and taproom are located in building that houses other businesses. If it wasn’t for the signs, you could easily pass it up. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The order sheets are helpful when assembling your mixed cases. The only thing I don’t like is the limited hours. I had to rearrange my travel schedule so I could make the 12 - 3 pm hours. | | nj4christ (14), Columbus, New Jersey | | January 20, 2009 Good tour. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Best tasting I’ve seen! They have every beer that’s available to them (maybe 15-20 beers) to try over and over again for no charge. Go there, you won’t be disappointed! | | hopdog (197), Lansdale, Pennsylvania | | June 14, 2008 Riserva release ’open house’. What can you say, its a brewery that gives out free samples and allows you to mix and match cases (a big plus in PA). I will be heading out for any other future special releases... | | hunter112 (10), Nanuet, New York | | March 23, 2008 We got a little lost finding this, when Morgan Hill Road starts to turn into Philadelphia Road, look for a small green sign that says Cheston School with an arrow pointing you the right way down Line Street, you’ll never see the Line Street sign! Great brews, nice tour (our guide John was most informative) and folks do get friendly while sampling the brews! The make your own case feature is special, and the prices can’t be beat. The pour staff couldn’t have been more accommodating, they made everyone feel like they were practically the only one there, while simultaneously taking care of all requests for tastes. It doesn’t take a big factory to make great beer, it takes great people, and Weyerbacher has that in abundance! | rdcuff (1), does not count - explanation | | December 11, 2007 A fun way to spend a Saturday afternoon. Typically you can mix/match 8 different beers in a case at a decent price - probably close to what you pay at a beer distributor - but it’s your own selection. The real treat is that you can also taste every variety that you can then purchase. That way you have no bad surprises. The tour is basic - after all it’s a warehouse turned into a brewery - and it really isn’t needed if all you’d rather do is sample and buy. The day I was there was about a week before their raspberry beer was to be released, but they drew a few bottles off the fermenter even before carbonation! I would like to see a brown ale or ESB in their offering, but Weyerbacher specializes in big beers, so that is not likely. Nonetheless this is a great Saturday diversion. Will definitely return! | R-dog (3), Alabama does not count - explanation | | October 4, 2007 The tour is okay - facilities are more utilitarian than showy - but the sampling afterwards is the main point. The friendly staff is very generous, and you’ll be friends with the other customers in no time. The mixed cases are priced according to what you put in them, and I recommend stocking up while you’re there. | | Nejhleader (64), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania | | June 25, 2007 wow what a cool place, great friendly people, awesome beer of course, and you can make your own variety case, which is an awesome feature. its amazing that they make so much beer with the smalll bottling line that they have. |
