7 reviews for Lancaster Brewing Company - Harrisburg
| savnac (57), Palmer, Alaska | | October 25, 2009 Typical brewpub that looked clean and well kept. Great service from the bartender, he answer questions about the beer and brought us samples without us even asking. The selection of beer was good and they also have beer to go of their flagship beers. I really didn’t expect much from this place as far as beer goes but was pleasantly surprised. The Milk Stout was really good. | | f351c4v (77), Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania | | January 16, 2009 Restaurant has a large dining area, but we chose to sit near the bar. Area was very clean and dimly lit, the bar may hold 15 people or so. 10 taps, all LBC at the time I visited. Pizza was OK, but worth the $12... nah. Lucked out on the happy hour specials; pints were $2-$2.50. Beer is average, the milk stout was the outstanding choice, if that gives you any idea... all in all, a nice place for dinner. | | KornDogg (20), Lancaster, Pennsylvania | | October 9, 2008 very diff atmosphere then lancaster location.... lancaster seems to be filled with more regulars... beer selection was ok... food was decent, their white chili was excellent and my lamb burger was ok... service here was much better then lancaster location... the prices however were a little too steep for the quality of the food though.. | | machfive55 (21), Columbia, Pennsylvania | | September 10, 2008 Pretty nice restaurant as far as ambiance is concerned...very modern decor, clean, almost sterile. This used to be Doc Holidays (owned by the same company) and they remodeled it and made it the brewery. Service is always pretty good unless you go in there to the bar at a peak time (Friday night). Selection is basically their own beers, plus maybe a guest tap with ABC or Troeg’s. The food is pretty awesome...the brewery wings are great. I love the food here and at the Lancaster city location, it is basically the same. Overall it is a little pricey for the area, but well worth it in my opinion. I definately love LBC and will keep going back. | | ¾ (599), Colorado | | April 18, 2008 Can I just refer you to illinismitty’s review? He basically nails it. The design of the interior and the food menu tells you what they’re tyring to do... trying to seem a level above the Chili’s and other chain places in the area... but they did have 10 taps, with about half of those seasonals, such as a Spring Bock (maibock) and a Franklin Fest (vienna). Not a terrible place to stop while driving through, but the bar area at the end of the building isn’t exactly a drinking place - I feel like someone will yell at me if I spill beer on their perfectly polished counter. Still, not a bad spot. | | illinismitty (224), Nashville, Tennessee | | March 24, 2008 [ Updated March 29, 2008 ] I stopped in early on a Saturday evening. I have not been to the original location in years. This is much different than the one I visited in Lancaster as far as ambiance goes. The inside is basically semi-upscale contemporary, but somewhat sterile. The bar area (far removed from the dining area) has 5 LCD TVs and adequate seating at the bar itself. There were 10 beers on tap when I visited. Beers range from OK to decent. I did not get dinner, but I did order the wings. The wings are a must try, because they are smoked- thus the flavor is in the meat and does not rely on a drenching of Buffalo Sauce. For a brewpub, the menu gets close to being pricey. Pizzas are around $12, Burgers are $9, and other entrees are in the $17-25 range. However, I think they are trying to avoid the stereotypical perception of a brewpub, thus putting more emphasis on better food and ambiance. That comes with a price tag. I see nothing wrong with that. | | Nejhleader (64), Lemoyne, Pennsylvania | | February 1, 2008 very nice place, and in a nice location, very roomy, good atmosphere. Menu is a bit expensive, but the food is good. Same beers as the original in lancaster, but i heard rumors they want to put in a system so they can brew their own there. Very nice staff. |
