Best homebrew supply place in the Montco, NW Philly, Bucks area. Good selection, very knowledgeable staff, fresh ingredients. Keystone also does a huge wine making business in the fall. Thursday nights are homebrew meeting nights.

Let’s face it people who work in homebrew stores are nerds. I have a hard time understanding what makes nerds tick so I usually avoid interaction with them. If you shop @ Keystone Homebrew Supply you can’t avoid interacting with nerds. After a few visits I loosened up and talk to the employees @ Keystone more than I ever thought I would. The employees can be helpful and know homebrewing. Store itself is small but well stocked with grains, brewing equipment, brew kits, (swingtop) bottles, liquid malts, hops (plugs, pellets, & whole leaf), and plenty of yeast strains. In addition there is a stock of winemaking supplies, and a side business of brewrania (taps, mirrors, neons, towels, etc) which comes with a large mark-up. If you are interested in home-brewing and live in the area this is a good place to visit.

Montgomeryville... Malts and hops, a pretty run-of-the-mill selection here. Fairly well stocked, but nothing hard to get. However i’ve not been able to get my desired yeast strain ever from these guys. Last time, I was supposed to have it driven down from their other store, the person forgot to bring it with them. So, I won’t be shopping at this location any longer.

This is a great Homebrew shop. Thier prices on many items are cheaper than those big online sites. This is the place to go if you need some carboys- they have a lot in stock, their prices are real cheap (13-14 bucks for 3 gal) and around 20-21 for a 6.5 gal. Lots of selection, despite its small appearance from the outside. The guys who run this place are really cool and knowledgable and always willing to help out. Great selection of fresh yeast which is a huge plus. They will ship anywhere in the country too. I dont make wine, but it seems like they are really into it and get fresh shipments of juice this time of year.
