Went there today for the first time with my family including 2 young children. the food was good but the selection was not big. they had a large selection of beer both bottle and tap with a sampler option to taste 4 different beers. I would go there again.

Went on a beer trip with AFI96 to Norristown, Pa to find Capones . Inside there is a bar, restaurant, and a small bottle shop !! Matt, the owner offered to share a bottle of Skargaards Porter which was very nice of him to do. We found some interesting beers in the shop, Three Floyds, Lost abbey, Fantome, and Hair of the Dog. Matt, was super friendly and talked to us about trades, and trying to find hard to find brews. This place is worth the drive. :)

Visited today for the first time. This place deserves all of the credit it gets, especially Matt. In the short time I was there he opened a bottle of Nørrebro Skärgaards Porter for me to try, took my email address and offered to hold stuff for me for up to 3 months, and sold me a bottle of Westvleteren Abt 12. Though the place is small they have a very nice selection of rare or hard to find stuff including: Lost Abbey/Pizza Port, Hoppin’ Frog, Stone, Bells, Three Floyds, etc. Nice selection of stuff on tap as well.

I visited on Sunday, May 25th. I was in town for a wedding, and had precious little time to spend at this place. The building itself is a distinctive house on a stretch of road that is full of strip mall crap. I was able to hit the bottle shop and get some interesting bottles. The bottle shop itself is pretty cramped, but stuffed full of a ton of interesting beers. Good selection of micros from all over, and decent imports, including Belgians. Overall, certainly one of the better selections I have seen. In terms of the bar/restaurant side of the house, I only had time for one beer, but I made it count with a Bear Republic Racer X. Perfectly served by friendly bartenders. The scene in the bar itself is very locally - not at all a haven for beer nerds I was expecting. It seemed like a normal local tavern that also happened to have a crazy good tap selection. I would have loved to have time to try the Ramstein Eisbock, but oh well. Certainly a place to hit if you are in the greater Philly area.

Visited over a weekend trip to Philly. There is not way you would ever know that this is one of the finest beer establishments in the world by looking at it. From the outside, and even when you walk in, it looks like any family restaurant or bar and grill. We sat down at the bar, glanced at the beer list, and thing took off from there. The list was full of stuff I’d never had before, and Matt hooked us up by tapping a couple of things he had stashed (Racer X and Hopslam). The two bartenders were attentive and nice to talk to. The beer room is out of this world. I walked out with a few rare treasures. I’ve never seen such a selection. The food was very good. I had a crab cake sandwich. I heard afterwards that they are known for there burgers. The praise this place receives is well deserved. Hell, it deserves more. I hope to visit Matt again some day.

Fantastic place! I bought a bunch of beers at the bottle shop and Mr. egajdzis is still sitting on them for me. Food was great too, service was a little behind though.

What a great place. I stopped in today for the first time and I am so disappointed I waited this long to do so. What a selection - tons of Bell’s, Lost Abbey, Three Floyds, Troeg’s Scratch beers, etc, etc - stuff you don’t find at most bottle shops. Matt was working when I stopped in and he was kind enough to hook me up with a little freebie. Very nice guy. He deserves all the praise he gets here - best bottle shop I’ve been to. (Didn’t have time to stop for a draft or food but I’ll be back)

My favorite beer store I’ve found in the state. The restaurant is kind of small, but the food is good. The staff is not very beer knowledgeable (outside of Matt), but friendly and attentive...which is what really matters. The tap selection is always great, and rotates quickly. Matt organizes some great beer tastings. The beer store in the back is the big reason to go. I could drop a $1k in that store before I knew it. The selection is absolutely phenomenal. Bells, Founders, Hoppin’ Frog, Nogne O, Mikeller, Struisse, Port/Lost Abbey, 3F, and much MUCH more.

Great hidden craft beer bar!! Matt is a really nice guy. Anything you need, he either has it or will get it. Went to a couple tastings, met a couple brewery guys. He has small tastings in the takeout area. Met the Miller Lite sales guy doing a tasting for one of the craft brands Miller carries, Leinenkugel’s Sunset Wheat. It was alright. Overall a real great experience at Capone’s! I’ll be back.

A cramped little room stuffed with gems. Selection is pretty superb, with me drooling at the chance to pick up some Port and Lost Abbey bottles, as well as Struise and Mikkeller and all those Midwestern 750s and Liter-bottles that always seem to pass me over. Some vintage stuff as well, and some bombers from PA that I haven’t seen outside of their home towns. Prices are definitely higher than they should be, but I’m willing to allow transport costs and rarity to be included in the markup. In an easy location right off the turnpike. Tons of parking, even on a Friday at lunchtime. I’m sure to come back to drop a few Benjamins.
