pinkzambia | This place is really cool. Lots of micro choices including West coast and of course, East coast. The guy thta helped me knew his beer which was nice. Super friendly, but WAAAAYY overpriced. He said that if you bought a six pack the sixth bottle was discounted, so I was really stoked. I was shocked when the total came to $19 for a sick pack. None of the bottles have prices stickers on them which is a sly trick on their part.
Due to the assinine liquor laws in PA, they have to be a deli in order to sell beer as part of their take out. What is funny is that they have all this sandwich equipment, but rarely use it. He told me they make about 10 sandwiches a day. Everybody knows it is all about the beer.

| FooFaa | The selection is very good, with a few rare beers, but I think they are over-priced. There’s a decent selection of Belgians and other quality European beers: Nogne, Olfbrikken, Cantillon, Rochefort, Ayinger, and many more. The domestic craft beer selection is also very good: Bells, Lost Abbey, Jolly Pumpkin, and all the locals. The staff was friendly and left us to do our thing. If you’re looking for take-out beer while downtown then this is the place to go.

mkobes | Very well lit store and clean. Big selection of beer bottles, Cantillon, Mikkeller. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. You can easily mix and match singles. The stores prices are high. They sell chips and dips and other snacks. Decent place.

eaglefan538 | For a state that has a case law, you can’t go wrong at a place like this, great selection, easy to mix and match singles (12oz, 22oz, 750ml, etc…). Service is friendly and local friendly. Only major drawback was the prices, definitely not cheap, but what else are you going to do if you want singleton/unique stuff w/ PA distribution and can’t buy cases of it all? Parking isn’t bad, streetside, can be busy.

ScoWRee | Great Place Very nice selection. Most beer is sold cold. Parking is difficult.

corby112 | I have beenspoiled by the newer 2nd street location and was let down when entering this much smaller location. The selection is still amazing but seems like half of what the other location carries, especially the top shelf products such as Cantillion, Nogne, Olfbrikken, etc. They do however, have a knowledgable staff and are in a convenient location if you don’t have to park.

bp | I live in Center City Philly about a 10 minute walk to the Foodery so I go here all the time. I think the bring a tube of lube comment about getting raped on prices is 100% accurate. I’ll buy a mixed sixer here an it will easily run me $20-$25. I keep coming back, however, because the selection is great. They always have something I want to try and new stuff is coming in every week. The staff has been helpful at times and nonexistant at others. If you are a beer lover in Philly that doesn’t want to buy cases all the time than this is your place. Check it out.

Prcaus | Really awesome selection for a small store in a random neighborhood in philly. Nice amount of Belgians, German’s, English, and a few Mexician beers. Not bad sandwiches from what I hear also

jde123 | Nice small store with a great selection of beer separated into belgian, american, and german sections. Also have some six packs of macro beer, but the rest is in singles. Nice location, just a few blocks north of the South Street Whole Foods. Decent staff.
