| corby112 (16), philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | December 4, 2007 Relatively new place in center city Philadelphia. Original concept of mixing Mexican food with Belgian beers that works very well. Nice decor makes this place a little moreapppealing than the average pub. Wide selection of international beers including over 80 bottles and six rotating seasonal beers on tap. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly and the food is quite good but not that expensive. | | JF_GRIND (58), Glenside, Pennsylvania | | November 14, 2007 Unique combination of Belgian beers, Tex-Mex and large tequilla selection in Center City. Relaxing 1st Floor bar has a nice view of the 15th Street sidewalk bustle. Jose Pistolas can very well stand on its own but with Latimer Deli, McGlinchey’s on the same block, plus Monk’s & Locust Rendevous around the corner there’s no reason not to visit. | | bp (37), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | September 8, 2007 This place just opened in the space that used to be Copa Too. It is decent sized place that has bars on two levels and restaurant-type seating on both levels as well. Food is pretty good Mexican dishes (some are pretty cheap). The important part - the beer. The selection is pretty decent with a number of Belgian bottles and a few other things. Nothing that is too hard to find anywhere else however. They did have St. Bernardus Abt 12 on draft but that seems to be available in a lot of places in Philly. They also had Yards, Chimay Triple and a few other decent brews on draught. Worth checking out if you are in the area. |
