5 reviews for Latimer Deli
| bp (47), Philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | November 10, 2007 I live right around the corner from this place so I go here fairly frequently. The selection is decent to good with a nice mix of local stuff, belgians, euro and macros. The prices are high but I’ve found that to be the case all over Philly. Worth stopping in if you are in the area. | | jde123 (58), Washington, Washington DC | | October 30, 2007 Kind of surprising that a deli like this also doubles as a decent bottle shop. Good selection of belgian, german, american beer. Prices are a little high for the Belgian ales, make sure to bring cash. | | Zeswaft (102), Seattle, Washington | | February 23, 2007 [ Updated April 4, 2007 ] One of the better selections for the standard deli/beer stores. lots of six packs and bombers of somewhat desirable stuff. great divide, smuttynose, troegs, stoudts. some german and belgian stuff. full line of st. bernardus stuff including watou triple and Special Edition 12. prices are pretty high. $12 for a 6er of Titan IPA. | | JFGrind (64), Glenside, Pennsylvania | | March 8, 2006 [ Updated March 9, 2006 ] Latimer is directly next door to McGlinchey’s and around the corner from Monk’s. NYC style deli beer selection concentrating on corked Belgian and Belgian style bottles plus other Euro and American singles and 22 ounce bombers. Avery, Heavyweight, Ommegang, and Victory all present. It’s one of the few options in Center City Philadelphia to obtain craft beer to go. A 750 ml bottle of Chimay Blue was priced $10.20. Just for reference you can get a 330 ml of Chimay Blue next door @ McGlinchey’s for $4.95. | | xproudfoot (37), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania | | December 27, 2005 Good selection, lots of good stuff, and the key is, lets you buy singles unlike most Philly places. It’s basically a typical crap convenience store with an inexplicably good beer selection. Some excellent belgians, unibroue, german stuff, local craft beers, etc. It is a bit expensive but as one of two places I know in the area where you can buy decent singles and 750ml bottles it’s a key place for any philly beer lover to know of. I’d rather go to the Foodery, but if I’m in this area, which I often am, I always stop in to get something new to try. |
