| jeremytoni (53), Swedesboro, New Jersey | | April 24, 2008 Good bar restaurant with a good selection of food and beer. | | corby112 (17), philadelphia, Pennsylvania | | November 29, 2007 Very dark and very noisy but they always have something worth drinking either on tap or bottled. St. Bernardus 12 is a regularly carried. The food is usually very good with offerings of ecelctic appetizers and entrees with a revolving chalk board of specials. The service is adequate and they have outdoor seating in a great neighborhood. Recommended. | | Veeve (22), Winston-Salem, North Carolina | | April 17, 2007 Funky neighborhood place
Always feature several good microbrews on tap including Stoudt’s
Yard’s, Victory, Paulaner, Brewer’s Art Resurrection, Belgian classics such as La Rulles and Triple Karmeliet
Victory and an array of bottled Beligan Ales
Ambiance/Decor:
Christmas lights, local artwork
Not elegant Central city bar
Giant bird kites
Handcrafted Ironwork windows
Bohemian, artsy
2 different bar-rooms, both busy. lots of seating and nice outdoor patio along street.

| | xproudfoot (37), Paleolithic, Pennsylvania | | December 27, 2005 I don’t remember being upset or excited about the beer selection. They do have some quality stuff available, but people on this site have likely tried all of it. The food was not bad. Not a place I ever think about going back again to, ever, or would be thinking positively about going back to, but I wouldn’t fight it. Not really anything special. Mostly full of yuppies pretending not to be yuppies. Northern liberties is generally lame, though Abbaye is all right. | heathermills (1), philadelphia, Pennsylvania does not count - explanation | | August 29, 2005 this is a favorite of mine...they often open up their entire wall of doors to the outside during the summer, along with their outdoor seating. they have really great food and very pleasant, busy service. while their selection of beer is not comprehensive, they do have some good 25 oz bottles, as well as local and craft brews on tap. no swill here. |
