ogglethorp | Stopped in during a trip to PA. Nice place, fairly spaceous inside, warm feel, super cool murals painted on the outside by a local painter. Food was decent, perhaps a little pricey. Service was sluggish at best despite being not very busy. If I gotta ask for a beer every time my glass is empty something is wrong. My wife was not drinking beer and was never offered anything else, finally had to ask. Empty dinner plates sat in front of us until flies started to collect and again I had to ask for them to be removed. I tried five of their beers and all were solid, though nothing really stuck out as being exceptional. They had 750ml bottles for sale, all in the $16-20, most of which were not on tap so I was hesitant to spend that much, based on what I had on tap. All-in-all, a slightly above average place that I would visit again if I was in the area, however not a destination that I wouls specifically travel any great distance for.

| Fanwick_Mike | beer tour, 08/31/08. I had been here one time previously, and thought I would rate it this time around. Ordered a beer sampler, 7 beers, including a very good stout, but the best of which was the Edgar IPA, a double IPA which reminded me quite a bit of Southern Tiers IPA in flavor and hop character. Very tasty. We also ordered a white pizza, which my wife enjoyed more than I did (no meat!). The bartender seemed pretty well informed, and the place was relatively quiet, so a good stop on the trip.

nearbeer | 7 diverse beer styles on tap, 5-6 others in pricey ($16-20) bomber bottles. Had 3 pints and two were very good, one average. Very good burger and tuna, both cooked medium rare as requested. Nice quiet atmosphere on Tuesday about 6 pm, with a good wait-staff.

Glouglouburp | This is a rather big pub but it doesn’t feel it because the place is long but not very wide. Brewing equipment is sitting right behind the large bar. Friendly and relaxed service. I visited the pub on a week-day after-noon so it was obviously very quiet but I cannot imagine this place turning into a party place at night. Food menu is standard greasy pub food but the food quality was above average. When I was there they had 11 taps (including the amazing Kegs Gone Wild Busted Lawnmower Saison). I tried many beers, 1 bad one, 1 so-so, 1 was amazing and everything else was very good. They also seem to go off the beaten path a lot with their beers so you can expect 4 or 5 beers outside the standard brewpub line-up (Blonde/Amber/Stout/etc). Well worth the detour.

tronraner | Nice brewpub in downtown Williamsport. They have a nice long bar right in front of the fermenters. The beers are pretty good and they have a huge selection on tap. The reuben I ate was quite tasty, too. Service was prompt and friendly. I’ll probably have to make another visit here.

kmweaver | We hit up Bullfrog Brewery after our stop at Selin’s Grove. Bullfrog definitely has more of a college / urban feel to it, and actually reminded me quite a lot of the Allentown / Bethlehem Brewworks establishments. They had about a dozen beers on taps, and the sampler gave four-five basic beers plus two more (for seven total). Seven 4oz pours for $7 isn’t a bad deal at all. The beers were all reasonably well-made and consistently decent, if on the lighter side of things. Didn’t have much beyond the sweet potato fries and onion rings, which weren’t much to speak of. Can’t wait until they have the smoked porter on again so I can finally put a rating in.

bigrond | this place was great.nice place, good service and the food was out of this world. HUGE portions at very reasonable prices. only downfall...the only sell there own beer. Which isn’t a real problem cause the beer si very good. But they sometimes run out of a style and have nothing comparable to offer. Would good back again when in the neighborhood.

Nate | Great brewpub atmosphere. Tin ceilings were interesting. Live music set up next to the tanks, which are in the front part of the restaurant. Prompt service and the beers were doing pretty well that night. Not every one was a winner, but they were all solid, for sure. Definitely the place to hang if in downtown Williamsport, and worth a stop if you’re in the region. This is more upscale and trendy than the Valley Inn (Abbey Wright) across the river.

| SlowandLow | Stopped in this joint on the way back from a run to Bell’s in Michigan. Open, airy and relatively decent pub atmoshpere. Our waitress was friendly, but the bartender seemed to have a problem with pouring a couple of sampler’s of the beers offered, whatever. I was pleasently surprised with the pretty diverse beer menu, notably a couple of Belgians and a Young Barleywine, real cool and not your ordinary APA, Dry Stout, etc. I really enjoyed just about every beer I tried (7), the blond had a bit of a tang in the aftertaste I did not like myself. We all thought the food we had was great, not bad at all, be careful of the hottest wing sauce there, REAL HEAT! The local jazz band was playing in the background and made for a great atmosphere to drink, eat and have fun in. I live 4 1/2 hours away and would have no problem taking a day trip or an overnighter to go back to this brewpub again.

obxdude10 | Very easy to find in Williamsport, parking is a little bit of a different story, thankfully I was there for lunch so there was parking available on the street, the lot next to the restaurant evidentially is a private lot not for use by the general public, fairly small place with seating for only about 15-20 at the bar, a few tables are available at the bar area as well, but not too many behind that area, the beer was very good with a nice variety & selection available, there was everything from a pilsener to an IPA to a saison to a barleywine available, the food was a different story though, it was very disappointing, I had a buffalo chicken cheesesteak but there was hardly any chicken, the roll was too big with not enough stuff inside, the service was great though, very quick & attentive, the prices were very reasonable, the food was the only real disappointment of the visit, everything else was great
