Your best choice (only choice) in Puerto Rico. Try the 5-beer sample or go directly for the Kofresi. Did not have any food.

Waitress waiting outside on this hot day to greet you. Very nice inside and the food is pretty expensive. Nice polished brewtanks immediately fill your eyes. The tanks are shiny copper and they are highlighted with stage lighting. 5 Old Brew beers on tap. Nice oasis in Old San Juan. Cool looking chandeliers. Floor is large black and white checkerboard. You can see giant cruise ships coming and going in the bay while sitting at the bar, quite a sight. 5 beer sampler for $9. Food was not quite as good as the price should indicate. Either way, this is the only brewpub in Puerto Rico and if you are on the island and a ratebeerian, you must stop in and check out the brews.

27 oct 07. Right on a corner, surrounded by blue, brick, cobblestone streets. Quiet, intimate, and cozy. Copper brew kettles right in the middle of the place. (Natives told me it was an old Federal Reserve Bank Location.) Bar is to the side. Food is very Pricey!!! $$$$$. Steak, lobster. I ordered the PR Sampler... Awesome! The rest of the food was, just OK. 5 beers on tap at all times, one being a rotation seasonal. Service was not very knowledgeable of the beers offered. All were very good, especially for being the only brewpub on the island. And definitly ... THE ONLY PLACE ON THE ISLAND.

Happened into this corner brewery while exploring Old San Juan. A very nice, upscale environment, with a nice decor. They had a live band playing music while we were there. The service was not the greatest, which is on par with what we experienced throughout San Juan. There were only 5 house beers (I only managed to have 2), so the selection was not the greatest. I cannot rate the food since I did not try any, but from what I could see it looked good. Overall, it’s a good microbrewery, with a pleasant environment, and most importantly, the beer was very good.

It’s very ritzy. I mean It’s looks like they spent a ton of money to build this place. Beers aren’t great, but good for the area.

For the beer lover who chooses to go on vacation to San Juan, Puerto Rico, you won’t have to go far for great beer. Just minutes away in Old San Juan you will find the Old Harbor Brewery to be a pleasant surprise. Also as far as I know it is the only Microbrewery on the island. A gigantic sign for the Brewery greets you on the way in invoking a strong presence of beer. Upon entry you will be ushered in with awesome aromas of some of the finest cuisine on the island. From Spiny Tail Lobster to Kobe Beef, which is a rare find and not overpriced at all. Even the appetizer of fresh made chips, unlike any other, paired with delicious made to order guacamole, is outstanding. With the immaculate brewtanks on premise you know your beer was brewed with care. Care you say, well don’t forget about taste, these beers will knock your socks off, especially if you have been a week without having the craft beer of your choice at your fingertips like in the states. Check their website for full descriptions of their beers. You will have no problem sitting at the bar or a table and drinking a few pints without bellowing with boredom. The atmosphere is wonderful with great people and great music. I had the pleasure of meeting Brad Mortensen, the Brewmaster at OHB, hailing from Virginia I may add. He takes incredible pride in his beer, you will take pride in drinking it.
