August 17, 2008 Good pub in the heart of the tourist district. Good draught and bottle selection, though prices definitely not cheap. Food is decent. Service is attentive. |

November 26, 2007 A nice pub to grab a beer in the most touristic area of Québec City. Solid draught list may be the best in town. Friendly and efficient service. Tourist crowd. Quite expensive prices, expect above 7$ a pint. Altogether a nice place since Québec does not offer much of a brewpub scene and the food remains well prepared. My onion soup was well done and warming. |

April 10, 2007 Went there in October last year - excellent Belgian selection - many of which we could not get in Florida, in particularl the La Guillotine and the Le Fruit Defendu (in general the beers are a little pricey). But for what its worth the Bavette de boeuf au beurre Louis XV was a huge surprise and not costly - I was very surprised after we had spent a ton at other places that were not as good all week. Hopping atmosphere and the band had a singer who sang in multi-phonics (thats another story all together - I had to get his CD) - all together a must stop! |

September 30, 2006 The selection of beers is very good especially Belgium beers. The food was good. The service is fast when you order, but you wait a long time for the bill, you do not feel rushed. It is a do again. |

September 22, 2006 Really enjoyed this place - big selection of bottles (some of the ones displayed are really old, don’t expect them all to be available) - the owner loves beer and appreciates questions, as long as not too intrusive - tap list is a good mix of belgians and quebec brews - the food was pretty good, not great, the service friendly, but not terribly quick - but I had a couple of fine bottles of belgian beer (a little pricey) and enjoyed myself a lot. Recommended. |

January 25, 2006 [ Updated November 28, 2007 ] Une des bonne place pour une bonne bière grand avec une belle terrasse, une grande sélection et la nouriture est bien. Par contre, profité de leur spécial, car leur bière est très chère. |

December 22, 2005 Their publicity says “Today, the Pub saint-Alexandre is keeping it’s tradition alive by making sure that beers from around the world get your conversation going “ and I totally agree with their statement. This pub was a favourite of mine several years ago before I was into craft beers. Now that I am developing expertise and a taste for good craft beers I will renew my relationship with this pub. They have a great local and imported beer list . My Chimay beer was served in the proper Chimay goblet glass and at the proper temperature…. You don’t see that too often. (Other members in my group complained that their beer was not cold enough !! ) Staff was very cordial, service great and they have a food list that matches well with their beer. |

September 16, 2005 Was here 4 years ago during my honeymoon and really liked it. In fact, I think we started every evning while in town at this Pub. As mentioned, it looks like it may be just another InBev pub when you first walk in, but it soon trancends that thought. |

August 3, 2005 I had my beer revelation here - a Chimay Premiere on a -30 degree day. Beer will never be that good again. I’ve been back multiple times and feel warmth (literally and figuratively) from this place. They commend your good taste, and use mostly authentic glassware (ex. Kwak). The ambiance is an excellent blend of old europe and the americas. |

January 25, 2004 Great beer list of private imports, a rarity in this country. A kind of bar Montreal badly needs. Come on in for a bit to eat at lunch and sample a few eclectic beers. An important stop on your Quebec City beer tour. |
