This place is cool! i didn’t really know what to expect...great selection of Alpine beers (obviously) I loved tasting willy vanilly, Nelson, and a double dose of Pure Hoppiness.BBQ is pretty solid. I loved the brisket. Service was friendly and attentive. Long drive, but I felt it was worth it.

tiny little brewery. not much room to walk around. had a good selection of their own beers and decent prices. the diner next to it i gather is affiliated. service there was HORRIBLE! we waited ages for the staff to take our beer order while they chatted with customers and each other, ignoring the 5 of us standing at the counter. we waited a long time for them to take our food order. on the upside, the beer and food were great.

Great spot for tasty vittles and cold beer. I recommend the fried pickles and the pulled pork. Bad Boy, Expo, Nelson and Duet on tap, what more can you ask for....?

Up and out of the way with an unassuming exterior. Parked on the street. Very friendly wait staff (albeit a bit understaffed even for a weekend lunch shift) and surprisingly tasty bbq (really enjoyed it actually)! It got crowded quite quickly around lunch. A bit tight spaces and quirky atmosphere but overall quite enjoyable. Beers were great (as are there beers in general), but only one or two beers you couldn’t get in bottles (as of this trip). Glad I went. Decent prices.

Neat little place in Alpine, California. The IPA selection was amazing, in fact IPAs dominated their tap handles. I could have easliy sat there all day trying all the different beers. The food was good, but I felt that some of it was overpriced. Bombers were very inexpensive at the brewery at the other end of the building and they had samples readily available. I would definitely stop by if you are in the San Diego area.

Hands down one of the top Brewpubs I’ve ever visited. We hit this place up while on Dallas’s BP. Alpine has a great feel to it and boasts an uncanny resemblance to the small town of Twin Peaks. The brewpub is no different. Sporting a black and white checkered floor, the brewpub is half diner, half bar. Lots of wood surrounds you as you enjoy great craft beer. Framed photos on the wall capture all the many strange (and famous) places where Alpine Beer has travelled to. The staff is friendly, the samples are served in cupcake trays, and the beer PWNS ALL! If you are any where near San Diego go here.

Visited on Sep 9, 2011 with Andy, James and Dallas for Dallas’ bachelor weekend SD trip. Awesome, low-key, "local" feel to the place. Servers were all friendly and helpful. They appeared to want to be there, which is huge. Saying off the bat that they got an extra "overall" point just for serving flights in muffin trays. That’s sweet. Beers here were all very good, even though I was not as huge of a fan as the other guys. Selection was maybe 10 or 12 beers on tap plus a guest tap, which is cool. Food was outstanding. I got the bratwurst sandwich on sweetbread, which was out of control with the dijon mustard. Best food I had the entire weekend, I’d say. Visited the brewery after we ate and drank in the brewpub. Got to talk to some of the guys working there, and they were all very friendly and helpful. Nice selection of merchandise and a couple of free tastings. We had a great time here and I would love to come back.

My brother and I visited here for lunch this past Tuesday. It was Taco Tuesday! Located in the mountains just a short drive off the freeway. When my garmin told me we arrived I pulled into a parking spot in a run down strip mall. I looked around and finally realized I was actually at the brewery. The sign that was not that noticeable was right there.

So locals were coming in for lunch and were all ordering the BBQ. Someone told us to get the beef brisket. I had all 3 tacos. The chicken, pork, and beef. The chicken, while tasty, was a bit dry. The pork, while tasty, was good to above average bbq. The brisket was awesome. I could eat that stuff all the time. As evidence by local after local coming in and ordering a brisket sandwich.

This was a small dive bar with only a handful of tables and 10-12 or so bar stools at the bar. This is a small start up and it shows. A handy man had to come in to figure out how to fix the tap lines as they were leaking slowly. Not all beers shown with tap handles are on tap. You have to refer to the board. I had a beer sampler and was unimpressed with 2-3 out of 4 of the beers. Pure hoppiness was ok.

I walked down to the brewery to buy bottles and I bought what I could take back home. Everyone here was pretty nice and sarcastic.

Beers were priced right and the beer and food combo was a good value. Overall I liked this place. I’m not sure I would go out of my way to get back here.

WOW-this could be the most favorate place i have ever been to. There is nothing bad about this place-AMAZING beers, very inexpensive, cool somewhat remote location, great food (buffalo chicken sandwich was amazing!) and hot as hell bartenders who were very friendly as well. Cant go wrong with this place. I must go here everytime im in San Diego. You can go and get bombers of their beer either at the brewpub or at the brewery just next door. VERY inexpensive. love it!
