In terms of pure beer selection, Clem’s has more than any other shop in San Diego period. The prices are on the high side but when you are the only place in the city with the goods, prices will naturally be a bit higher. If your looking for your standard craft stuff you can probably get it cheaper elsewhere, but if you want something rare or new, Clem’s is definitely the place to go.

Clem’s in Kensington is AMAZING!! I’ve been going there for almost a year now and every time I walk in the selection of beer seems to grow! Paul is the guy you need to talk to at Clem’s. He knows his stuff and does a damn good job keeping on top of the new beers he comes across. If I can’t find a beer, I know Clem’s will have it. Good pricing on beer. They also have wine and a pretty large liquor selection. The sandwiches are awesome also. Quick and made right in front of you. Clean place and great service. Keep it up Clem’s I’m still thirsty!!

Went tonight after learning that Alpine has an account with them. I walk in, the place is very clean, nice fixtures, well layed out. I am greeted by a gentleman that just stares at me. I say "good evening" and he just grunted and stared. Kind fellow he was. I then found the beer section and was shocked at the selection, tons of great bottles, some hard to get, some just really good. Then I saw the prices, $30 for Temptation, $17 for Exponential Hoppiness, and the prices just got more retarded from there. I walked out without buying anything. While this place has the potential to be the best bottle shop in central san diego, ridiculous pricing is keeping it from being an even decent option to shop at.
