| JohnnyJ (94), San Diego, California | | May 9, 2011 Small bar, but also has outdoor firepit area. Not a big selection of taps, but decent enough. Suprisingly cheap house brews at happy hour... $2-3. Good IPA’s. It’s a good place to drink a few beers before watching a movie at the theatre. | | BMan1113VR (279), Los Angeles, California | | October 11, 2010 In a mini mall with an abundance of parking. Big pizza store attached to a brewpub. Brewing system is on a balcony overlooking the main floor (new thing to me). Did not try the food. Order a sample flight. The bartender was interested in me taking notes. I mentioned that I heard that they had a new brewer (former of Alpine). The bartender confirmed and gave me several additional pours of new beer made by the new brewer. The hoppy beers are excellent, but apparently they go quickly. Most of the beers on tap are not the new brewer’s recipe as they are in transition. The session IPA that I did have (which was his recipe) was fantastic. Prices were very fair. They do growler fills. | | yemenmocha (66), Glendale, Arizona | | March 16, 2010 Brewpub has a handful of their own beers plus several guest taps including a couple Sam Adams, Black Butte Porter, Guinness, Lindemans, and more.
House brews were very average, and now I see why it makes so much sense for them to have several guest taps. Food was average to above average, and it’s all basic pizza parlor fare including pizzas of course, breadsticks, garlic bread, fried mozz sticks, pastas, etc.
Expensive & touristy area, so I’ll give them a judgment of "reasonable" for the highish prices. | | Aggy360 (10), Anchorage/ Vista,CA, Alaska | | April 5, 2009 A good place to hangout with friends. The pizza is pretty good. Not a big selection of beers, but if they dont have a house beer you like you can get the ’Big Brewers’. The service was great, and always friendly. The bar is a little small but you can go outside to the firepit and people watch. Good location in the new developing downtown Vista. | | DenverLogan (63), MileHi, Colorado | | March 16, 2008 Decent place next to a theatre and shops. There’s a fire pit on t patio overlooking the plaza. Decent food and some good seasonal beers. | glaze0101 (1), Massachusetts does not count - explanation | | February 2, 2008 Nothing exciting. Ok beer, not great. The service was WONDERFUL. The pizza side is very family oriented and the bar is ok. | ahansler1 (1), Vista, California does not count - explanation | | January 31, 2008 The brewer left, and the award winniing beers with him. Just the standard Lamppost chain brews, which are good but it was nice to have a creative brewer offering some great award winning beers.
Ambiance is good, service is great, selection was much better. 6 months ago would have been a 10, now a 6.
Pizza is good, sandwiches are good. | | BBB63 (120), La Porte , Indiana | | December 4, 2007 A solid selection of different styles in a sports bar/ pizza joint/ brewpub setting. Staff was friendly and worth a stop if nearby. Some guest taps as well. |
