| aleph (22), , | | April 25, 2012 Wonderful, casual place. 40 beers on tap, often house brews, and some great pizza. Family friendly, not exactly a setting for geekery. | | Serendipitiai (10), California | | March 10, 2012 Love their brews. Great place to bring the kids for pizza, very casual and easy going. | | SamGamgee (182), down the whirlpool, California | | February 13, 2012 I was psyched on a new Pizza Port and have not been disappointed. Very good beers and a similar atmosphere to the others, though maybe not as good as CBad. Nickelbag is still one of the best DIPAs I’ve ever had. Nice to have a location closer to SD proper. | | gvmdw7 (31), California | | December 6, 2011 It’s like chuck e cheese opened a brewpub on the beach, minus the games. The beer selection is good, with only a few standouts. I got the pizza, which was great, but my wife got a salad that was small, but also good. It’s definitely worth your time if you’re in the area. | | BMan1113VR (279), Los Angeles, California | | October 31, 2011 The newest addition. Missed that they have a parking lot so I parked down the street. Not quite as big as the Carlsbad or San Clemente locations. Good atmosphere. Didn’t have food on my visit, but I assume it to be the same quality as the other locations (i.e. good). I have had several of the beers before, so I was expecting good things. Overall the beers were very good with a few amazing standouts. One or two seemed to be on their last legs. Service was good for a somewhat busy afternoon. Overall a good new addition to the Pizza Port family, with a brewer that can brew some stunningly good beers (Bacon and Eggs comes to mind, which sadly wasn’t on during my visit). | | fiver29 (48), Cleveland, Ohio | | September 2, 2011 This was my least favorite Pizza Port out of the 4 in town. Large open space with a small patio relative to the other PP’s. Same layout as the others. One line for food and the other for beer. This place has a great tap list for brewed beers on site and a great guest tap list as well that rotates often.
This location is the worst of the 4. Beach bums hitting you up for change all the time. I stayed in OB the first night and was woke up to EMS crews strapping a bum to a gurney. This is an awful location. The crowd inside in not much better. Less family and more meth heads. Beer was good. But not at the expense of some meth head wrestling me for my wallet. I’ll never come back here. | | hapjydeuce (22), San Diego, California | | August 16, 2011 Tried out the newest addition to the Pizza Port bunch a few months after opening in Ocean Beach. Ambiance is more modern than its predecessors. The brewing equip. is tucked away on the left as you enter the front door. Big dining area with high tables, bar blended into the serving counter. Typical design that is PP. Bustling, loud atmosphere as usual. Decent tap selection with rotating guest beers. A nice addition to the growing chain. | jimmybells (6), las vegas, Nevada does not count - explanation | | August 11, 2011 THIS PLACE WAS ALRIGHT.... | | pushkinwow (54), Ottawa, Ontario | | July 25, 2011 What a great place. Went for lunch on a Monday. Was fairly empty but then filled up. Had 16 of their own offerings and another 15+ from elsewhere - good mix of stouts, IPA, DIPA, Hefe etc. Like the casual, family friendly atmosphere with picnic tables and the small arcade, not to mention the brew kettles and other equipment off in one corner. Food is mostly limited to pizza and its decent to good depending on what you like. Everything is pick up yourself with no frills but I like that. Worth a visit. | | Terminus (233), Las Cruces, New Mexico | | July 20, 2011 my 2nd fav pizza port location. This place is the 2nd smallest as well (bigger than solona beach). Has an awesome variety of beers and their house brews rock! Pizza was fantastic and didnt hurt that they had actually friendly waitstaff. A definate must if your in San Diego!!!! |
