o_Merlin_o (2), California does not count - explanation | | May 19, 2012 Relatively new to the San Marcos scene. Great food selection (even an awesome food selection for picky children, so if you’ve got ’em, bring ’em with you!). I haven’t sat at the bar, but they’ve got a ton of taps with a wonderful selection of beers. Service is great, even when the place is busy (which it often is). Great value. | | BMan1113VR (279), Los Angeles, California | | March 19, 2012 Stopped by for lunch on a Sunday. In San Marco’s Food Row. Menu of pizza, a few sandwiches and build your own mac n cheese. Beer selection was pretty decent (although not as good as Churchill’s). Build your own flights available (pricy at $2.70 per 4oz sample). A decent amount of small/local breweries. Food was okay, service was slightly subpar. Not a bad stop. | tbonesw (1), Riverside, California does not count - explanation | | January 10, 2012 Excellent beer and food. Servers are very friendly. | | Naven (63), Poway, California | | October 30, 2011 New place that just opened in restaurant row. About a half mile past Churchills. Inside pretty much looks like every other new gastro pub. Lots of brick, wood. Very modern. I counted 45+ taps. I was very impressed by the beer menu. All craft beers, and most of them were pretty interesting. The place is brand new, and as expected, there were some service and food issues, but overall, I was pleased. The mussels were fantastic - they use a hoppy beer sauce that was awesome. This place is definitely worth checking out. |
