This place was basically brewery outlet shop deck with Bauer beers as well as some other beers on sale, specially the Ritterguts Gose and used to my first place where to buy my Gose. This was back in 2007/2008. The place has been closed since 2009 or 2010. The main reason is that the Bauer Brewery were forced to stop brewing their beers in the run down brewery just next to it. And thus this place is closed most likely forever. The atmosphere in the shop was quite interesting with funny sales persons and their funny looks. They had up to 10-15 different beers from the region as far as I remember.

The facade looks kind of run down, and inside is basically just a little no-nonsense brewery outlet with bottles and cans in crates. However, they have some very unusual (and quite good) beers, so it’s worth a stop. As EithCubes says, they sell not only Bauer beers, but also imported beers from Bavaria. It’s also not far from the Leipzig city centre. Worth a visit.

Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but...you’re guaranteed to find one or two of the most unusual beers brewed in Germany. Among other types of alcohol, they carry the full Bauer line and usually one or two imported beers from Bavaria. For those of you looking for Gose, this is the place to go; it can be found on tap or in single bottles at maybe two dozen places in the city, but this is the place to come to load up your trunk for the trip back home. Even have cold growlers ready to go. Easy and cheap!

East of the city ring, borders a cemetery. Closest tram stop is Johannisplatz.
