Very conveniently located very close to the trainstation .A small place, but also with a small outside seating area. We visited at lunchtime, the food was tasty, but the whole pub had the odours from the kitchen, which I could have been without. 4 beers on cask, 5 on draft, and besides that some bottles. Most of the beers where well known to me, but I got two Broughton beers on cask.

Small but very nice, cosy and genuine pub. The cask ales were in excellent condition and the food was good. I had Harvistoun Bitter and Twisted, Cairngorm Nessie´s Monster Mash and sausages and mash. One of my favorite pubs from the trip to Edinburgh.

I liked this place quite alot. First stop on the Edinburgh day for RBESG 2007. Quite small but very charming pub. Nice selection on beers and the food was ok.

A very worthy stop, just out of the train station, in a little alleypath heading towards the Royal Mile. A most charming little corner bar with excellent traditional scottish food (The haggis was excellent). Cosy and friendly undoubtedly, this was probably my favourite in Edinburgh for the atmosphere. They had this thing going on in summer 2007 where every week, they had all their beers from a same brewery, scottish of course. Excellent if small selection, intended for the local.

Visited with the RBESG 2007 crowd. Charming tiny pub with 3-4 decent cask ales. The haggis was very tasty, despite being warmed in the microwave.

Tiny, cozy pub just a few steps off the "touristic" mile; friendly and helpful staff (including a friendly dog...), a nice selection of four cask- ales is waiting for the thirsty beer-geek. Worth a visit !

A flying visit here whilst changing trains at Edinburgh on the way up to Aberdeen. The original intention was to stay a bit longer and sample some of the traditional Scottish food on offer such as Cullen Skink, Neeps, Haggis etc but bad weather caused a delay to my train so it was just a case of a couple of quick halves here. Found the pub to be very cosy with a friendly atmosphere and will have to pay another visit when next in the capital.

Great haggis, homemade by the manageress apparently. Didnt feel entirly welcome the big bushy haired cellarman? was chattin to me but with a slight outside tone to him which i didnt appreciate too much concidering i was trying to shower him with praise. Really small but only 4 hand pumps let the place down for me it could do with another 2.

Another of Edinburgh Clasic Pubs, hidden away down a narrow edinburgh close. This is a tiny little place with 4 tap usually carrying interesting beer. Again excelet quality. Did food at half ten at night, last time i was in after a long crawl ,and the haggis was just superb and just what i needed to soak up the beer. Service varies depending on what staff are on.

Been three times; ate twice. Good fish and chips. Only place I could get cullen skink in two week trip. Went through Cullen at 2pm, and no cullin skink was available. Great to find it here. Real ales that you are not likely to easily find elsewhere. Kelburn Cart Blanch / Inveralmond Inkie Pinkie It is small, but pick your time. A bit of a relaxing place.
