82 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 6/10 SELECTION 12/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 18/20 mighty_meadow (3) Kilwinning, Scotland | February 17, 2013 Visited for first time yesterday. Bought 6 beers for under £12 so really not as pricey as I was led to believe. Decent choice of Scottish beers which always brings a smile to my face. Looked to have a fine selections of wine, whisky and food which is a plus point even if I didn’t have time to peruse properly this time. This will no doubt be top of my list on future visits to Glasgow. | 96 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 10/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 9/10 OVERALL 19/20 midalex01 (1) Glasgow, Scotland | December 29, 2012 Like a good Ale Pub this place changes up their stock on a regular basis. Although it can be mildly frustrating when you walk in looking for a specific beer and they don’t have it, the knowledgeable staff are always willing and able to offer a comparable alternative. If you walk in and say, "hey, I like x,y, and z what can you recommend for me?" the answer is always good. I’m a regular here and will remain so for some time. Good work Peckhams. Keep it up!! | 80 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 9/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 16/20 WeissGary (18) Glasgow, Scotland | December 28, 2012 A well stocked bottle shop with a big focus on beer and wine - this is the best stocked Peckham’s store I have seen and probably the best stop for bottles in the centre of town. A nice wall of Scottish, German and Belgian beers with a nice selection of American brews. Staff are very friendly, store is run by people who have great knowledge and interest in craft beer! | 56 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 5/10 SELECTION 7/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 5/10 OVERALL 13/20 jvhemert (15) Edinburgh, Scotland | August 23, 2012 Did a detour on a trip to Glasgow hoping to find some interesting Belgian beers. About half the space is devoted to Scottish, a quarter to American, a sixth to German, that leaves a 1/12 only for Belgian...most of which you can get in any reasonable beer shop. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE N/A OVERALL 16/20 jaghana (33) Strasbourg (France), France | May 26, 2012 Place with a very interesting variety of beers, quality from Scotland, England, Belgium and even US.
Good food products and wine too. | 78 AMBIANCE 5/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 flying_pig (29) , Scotland | January 4, 2012 A great place to pick up hard to find beers, particularly German or Belgian ones. They had a lot of Oktoberfest beers when I visited in November (all £2.99 for 500ml). It is a bit pricey but most beers are hard to get elsewhere without going online and paying delivery. One thing to watch is that some beers that could be found very easily elsewhere were priced rather highly in Peckhams (example: Chimay Blue available for under £2 in most Asda’s was well over £3 here, same goes for some Brewdogs beers). A nice wee shop though and one I’ll be back at quite a lot in the coming months. | 70 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 10/15 FOOD N/A VALUE 4/10 OVERALL 15/20 CalumScotland (28) Hamilton, Scotland | July 17, 2011 Great place to buy beers great selection bit priceyer than other places however does reguarly change its selection | 86 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 14/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 8/10 OVERALL 17/20 Nekronos (111) Xalapa, Mexico | April 29, 2010 Absoultely th best plae to buy beers in Glasgow. They change the beers quite often and the prices are good. They also have gourmet food and supplies. | 76 AMBIANCE 4/5 SERVICE 8/10 SELECTION 13/15 FOOD 6/10 VALUE 3/10 OVERALL 13/20 JohnRMurdoch (243) Glasgow, Scotland | April 28, 2010 A small chain of upmarket delicatessens in Glasgow which specialise in beer and wine. Great selection of bottled beers from all over the world and knowledgable staff. Nice atmosphere for browsing for beers, only downside is high prices. | 72 AMBIANCE 3/5 SERVICE 7/10 SELECTION 11/15 FOOD 8/10 VALUE 7/10 OVERALL 15/20 downender (227) Bristol, England | July 11, 2009 Visited 3/07/09. Has a decent selection of bottled beers downstairs with, unsurprisingly, the Scottish selection from the likes of Broughton, Williams Brothers and Traquair leading the way. The food in the ground floor cafe was high quality and reasonably priced. The wine was good too. |
