A weird mix between old and new, the wood panelled walls and the cealing and bar was old fashined and beutiful, but at the same time the flat screen tv’s were running, the most of the furniture was of a more modern design and sparklers were used. The service was fine - didn’t ask for much though. An OK number of beers on - but only three new for me, since a lot of the taps was from larger breweries with broader distribution. I’d hoped for a better selection.

Visited twice during RBESG 2007. Very classical british pub with a nice selection of cask beers. Food is ok, but not more.

An alright pub, service was quick and abrupt. Beers weren’t in great condition by a long way, with many showing signs of over-venting or just plain tasting of sick. Selection is good, at least, usual suspects, and a few Broughtons. Worth a visit, but not multiples.

Comfortable, rather classical street corner pub, that seems to attract a large crowd. A good place to find the Old Jock beer and frankly an easy walk from other more interesting places in the West End, so you might as well pop in, but the rest of the line is of course not very interesting.

Big ale pub in glasgow down the west end. Iv yet to see it but supposed to be where alot of bands go before they play at glasgows qm union. Always busy also. 9-10 hand pumps, 5 of which are reguars but in saying that they arnt nessesarly always in good nick, and iv been ignored more than once when iv asked them to take off the sparkler. But for glasgow it has one of the most hand pumps.

Quite the decent pub with macro leanings (meaning you’ll see lots of the usual suspects served), but many real ales are offered, and those I had were very well kept (namely the Old Jock). Food is typical pub food quality, and is quite cheap for the area. This is very close to The Three Judges, so if you can’t get any food there (like us on our holiday visit), Tennent’s will be an interesting stopover a couple of minutes away on foot.

Not a bad pub. Food is generally middling, as in not great but good compared with other West End pubs. Up to 12 real ales at a time, with 8 regulars, it’s not a bad pub. Can be packed with football fans of a matchday, and is busy Thursday/Friday/Saturday, but is otherwise a fine local.

Some rare beers available as guest ales. Just bit too much sports and too much people here.

they have about 10 real ale taps on at any one time, a few nice regulars (Dark Island, Old Jock, Landlord) and a couple of them are guests. they have a few bottles as well. Beer quality is often a bit low since the beers can be left on for far too long and the drip trays are poured back into the casks. The food is microwaved and not very good. Had bangers and mash last time I was in, Mash was too dry, bangers were cardboardy, gravy was too gluey and the mustard was that awful sachet stuff; on the other hand, its cheap and it fills a gap.

NIce bar, they have like 7 tv sets and they have a huge selection of beers, like 12 different real Ales rottating, and very good selection in bottled beers.
