| berkshirejohn (79), Bracknell, England | | April 30, 2008 A grotty town pub, convenient for the station, but you are much better off at the Burton Bridge Inn, about 10 minutes walk away. | | haddonsman (56), Derby, England | | July 29, 2005 A few minutes walk from the railway station, this is one of four Burton pubs run by the Burton Bridge brewery. Seperate bar and lounge, both serving Bridge Bitter, Golden Delicious, Stairway to Heaven and Burton Porter plus one guest. Wood-panelled bar can get cramped, larger lounge at rear has several levels and rooms. Burton Bridge bottles also for sale (Bramble Stout, Porter, Empire and Tickle Brain) as well as 4-pint polypins for takeaway. Well worth a visit if in Burton, particularly if travelling by train. |
