11 reviews for Federal Jacks Brewpub (Kennebunkport Brewing Co.)
| Immy (88), Virginia Beach, Virginia | | February 8, 2009 Had lunch here, and visited the store downstairs, where you can buy bottles. Nice place, overlooking the water. Waitstaff had an OK level of knowledge on the beers. Food was decent, but not great, and a tad pricey. Decent brews. | urnamesucks (2), New York City, New York does not count - explanation | | August 20, 2008 Just okay. Staff not very knowledgable about the products. | | savnac (57), Palmer, Alaska | | August 1, 2008 My wife and I went here July 2003 during our honeymoon trip to Maine. Federal Jacks is a great relaxing place to have some beer and food. We got a sampler of their beers and enjoyed them all. The food was good, especially the chicken wings. The service was good as well. | | LadySusan (77), Ste-Therese, Quebec | | October 7, 2007 Lunch on the terrace, Good food, good service, and good selection of beer. This place is for tourists and that is what I was. The view of the river was nice on a summer day. | TLO (3), Tampa, Florida does not count - explanation | | February 5, 2007 I vacation in Kennebunk 1-2 times a year, and I become a part-time "regular" at Federal Jack’s. Good service, great food, always at least 1 Shipyard beer that’s pouring well, including seasonals like Longfellow Winter and PumpkinHead Ale in fall, plus "old reliable" Old Thumper year-round. Overlooking the river, this is a great place to chill, eat, play some pool and belly up to the bar. | | wilkie (38), Raleigh, North Carolina | | March 28, 2006 Went there on a Sunday. Pretty good service. Decent number of beers, and ones I can’t get at home. Food was downright delicious, and I didn’t eat lobster because I don’t really like it. I also like the fact that you can’t smoke in bars in Maine!!!! Beers are a little on the watery side, but I can forgive a lot when people are nice to me.
| ampman (1), does not count - explanation | | February 28, 2006 All their great ales are available, except for one of their best. Joshua Chamberlain Pale ale is brewed only in the Portland location and not available in Kennebunkport. Growlers available downstairs in the gift store. Good food and live bands on selected nights as well. Deck for the summer | | BrewDad (239), Olympia, Washington | | February 12, 2006 Had a blast at this place. Missed seeing George H. Bush by about 30 minutes. He was there having a little food and beer with Barbara. The place sitting on the water was awesome this was a picturesque place that is in most books. The harbor with the president house behind it was just so awesome. The beer was very good and the food was to die for. Lobster anywhere in Maine is awesome. The president house is about a 5 minute walk from the brewery. Coincidence I think not. | bandit1200 (5), shelbyville, Michigan does not count - explanation | | July 26, 2005 A nicelittle place in the New England area. Views of the harbor, which really wasn’t much, but better than looking at the walls! Food was OK, not a large selection. Good selection of ales, all English style, some brewed at the Shipyard brewery in Portland, not on premises. Had a little vinegar aftertaste, but overall a nice place to visit in New England. |
