| miketd (112), Cleveland, Ohio | | May 19, 2012 I liked the gritty vibe to this place, but found the beer average and the service from the wait staff pretty bad. Service was much better at the bar. | smaynard6000 (9), Albuquerque, New Mexico does not count - explanation | | May 18, 2012 Dropped in on a Friday afternoon during ABQ beer week, and this place was *crazy* busy even as early as 4:00. Contemporary style, ample lighting, spacious high ceilings and a patio area to sit outside if one should desire. Glass windows behind the bar allow one to see into the brewery area. I tried the house IPA and the ABQ collaborative beer while I was there and enjoyed both. A good place to enjoy good beer in Albuquerque. | | nbutler11 (226), Phoenix, Arizona | | March 28, 2012 If you’re a fan of the chain, or want to try some good pizza, make sure to stop by. This is one of their better locations, and the stout was tasty when I was there. | | Oakes (593), Gibsons, British Columbia | | October 29, 2011 Good spot. Open, modern. Lots of seasonals and the IPAs at least are well made. Service was fine. Didn’t eat but I like the pizzas at the Santa Fe location and I presume they are more or less the same here. | | DiarmaidBHK (307), Pennsylvania | | October 28, 2011 Taproom located in warehouse located in warehouse district. Nice modernist vibe given the location. They had 10 things on tap with the emphasis on seasonals. The service was quite attentive. It was obvious many of the workers had a passion for beer. It says something when the brewpub workers also hang out there. The prices were reasonable and all Rhee beers were solid to very good. | | Beershine (540), The Sunshine State, Florida | | October 14, 2011 [ Updated November 16, 2011 ] Comfy brewery tap with better than average beers. Limited menu but decent sandwiches with meats sliced to order, and nice patio outside too. | | fredandboboflo (62), East Setauket, New York | | July 6, 2011 [ Updated August 13, 2011 ] Formerly a tap room only, now serves sandwiches and appetizers, still has the feel of a brewery tap room, could call it either a brewery or brewpub as far as I’m concerned. Very spacious and lively-feeling interior with a large gravel patio area as well. Not exactly the prettiest location for the patio, but it’s still nice if you want to be outside. Also get a lot of way-above-average-for-the-brewpub-scene music acts that perform outside, which just adds to the great feel of the place. Four seasonals and four regulars on when I was there, not sure if they sometimes might have more options. They also have a cask tapped every Wednesday at noon (which this particular week was also a different beer from the ones on tap). Though the seasonals were geared toward the summer season, they also included a coffee stout, and in general seem to mix things up a good deal. The following week saw a spectacular single and a half IPA. Beer quality was very good. Standard prices for the area, and I really appreciate that they always ask you what size you want, as I often only want a 10 oz. or similar size, but also often forget to say so when I order. Yet another awesome beer spot in Albuquerque, which, if the place ratings are any indication, seems to be overlooked lately by the average ratebeerian. | | LilBeerDoctor (185), East Setauket, New York | | July 5, 2011 [ Updated July 19, 2011 ] A great little brewpub in a warehouse district of Albuquerque. It has a very open feel- a large open bar, tables scattered throughout, and a good deal of outdoor seating (all with an awning or umbrella overhead). There is a huge chalkboard announcing the seasonal beers, beers to come, cask of the week, and special of the day. The bar directly overlooks the brewery tanks and there are a few TVs showing sports events. There appears to be a great deal of live music (I happened to catch 2 such events and both were surprisingly excellent, which suggests they really take the time to make sure only quality groups come to perform). They have 4 regulars (IPA, pils, brown, and amber), all of which are quit excellent, and 4 seasonals on tap, the majority of which are top notch beers. They have a small menu, mostly appetizers and sandwiches (I tried the pizza pretzel which was decent, but I’ll probably try their sandwiches next). I think this is one of the top 3 brewpubs in Albuquerque (heck, I even spotted a bartender of La Cumbre chilling here!) and I will definitely be back. The beers are great here, it’s hard to find something you don’t like. | hiphopper (1), sandia park, New Mexico does not count - explanation | | May 8, 2009 The only place in Albuquerque to really enjoy a top flight beer! | | SHIG (141), Anchorage, Alaska | | November 8, 2007 While my stay in Albuquerque was short it was very filling in the a beer. The Il Vicino tap room was the last stop on my map of must see before going home. Let’s just say after spending a few hours here I was patting myself on the back for the choice. The help was spot on as Matt and Kyle not only kept my glass filled, but discussed the beer. It was a wed, but due to availabilty there was no cask, so Brady pulled out a 16 month old Irish that was devine. The locals add tons to the atmosphere as homebrewers and plan drinkers keep conversation going. The bar and shelfs are very plain, however the walls filled with brewing medals is very impressive. They had 7 beers on tap this night with a vast selection of styles. This is a must stop on anyones trip. Location is a bit industrial. Great night and awesome memories! |
