interior is half bar/pub area and half open restaurant. lots of families and kiddies. fairly bad bar food and poor quality beer. should have skipped it.

Visited this little (big) place before a flight home to New York City after spending a week in Yellowstone. Decent little joint with a fairly interesting selection of beer, though almost everything was low grav, I think only one or two beers broke 6%. Rather than your standard brewpub styles they made them a bit more interesting, adding rye, odd fruits, a scottish ale instead of an amber, etc. The beer was OK, their year-round stuff was overall way better than their seasonals. Decent service and crowd, a bit hick-y unsurprisingly. Very, very cheap. $6 growler fills, $9 for a 8x4oz sampler.

Right in the middle of downtown Billings, an easy walk from two other brewpubs. Plenty of parking and ample seating indoors and out. Food was nice; one of the best (and hottest) buffalo wraps I’ve ever had. Service was average. They had a bunch of new brews on tap, but only 2-3 of their core offerings. I’d been wanting to try the Custer’s stout, but it will have to wait until next time. I definitely will come back! Oh yeah, I hit happy hour (4-6pm on a Thursday) and pints were $2 each.

Conveniently located within a few blocks from the Greyhound Station in downtown Billings. I visited this place with my girlfriend (now my wife) a couple of years ago on a backpacking trip. I remember having the raspberry wheat and an IPA, but nothing much after that. It’s an older building, beautiful with the kettles in full view of the bar. Spacious, nice big screens for watching any sports games you’d like. The prices were great and the food was nice also. A great town, if you’re passing through stop on by Montana Brewing.

Good beer, and service. Fun to meet your friends and plan the night out. More relaxed than hooligans the sports bar located next door in the same building. Top pick for billings.

This place is one of my favorites. Great food and the best beer I’ve had anywhere. The Sharptail Pale is awesome and the espresso porter is also one of my favroites. Very good selection of brews. Highly recommended.

Easy to find location off of 1st Ave N with parking on street. Clean older building with patio in front. The bar is in the front center with food seating next to and in the back. Brewing operations on the left. The bartender, Lisa, was very freindly and had good knowledge of brews. 9 beer sampler set due to special brew for the Harley convention. Good range and quality of brews. The brewmaster, Travis, stopped and we discussed the beers and his hopes for the future. Good pub food menu and the small pizza was well prepared. Good location, staff and brews.

This place is awesome. It has great beer and great food. If you go here you have to try the sweet potato fries. The beers are great especially the fat bellied amber and the custer’s last stout.

Nice setting with decent food. lower lighting, had a few of the "go-to" beers that cater to the general public and they were nice. very light bodied beers i founds a little dissapointing. However, the cidre beer was a bit differnet as the anniversary ale which is cask conditioned in JD casks was quite nice. Again, a bit onthe lighter body side, but a HUGE jack Daniels finish! overall i was quite happy.

Nice, classy setting. I had a very knowledgable waitress. The food I had wasn’t great (the "sweet potato fries" esp. were warm and soggy). Overall, worth a visit.
