| gsmitty80 (153), Washington DC | | February 15, 2012 Nice bar in the town center complex. Big industrial feel. Pretty busy on a friday but i managed to sit at the bar. Service was friendly and knowledgeable. I didn’t get to eat but i heard the food was good. I would go back. | | BeerandBlues2 (358), Lone Tree, Colorado | | January 15, 2012 This location is housed inside a town center area with many other restaurants and shopping places. The interior is new and very open, though the bar can get crowded. Our service was pretty good. There were 15 house beers available, 1 of which was on Nitro. The appetizer we had was well made. The prices are really good, particularly considering your proximity to the District. | | craftbeerdesign (92), Alpharetta, Georgia | | July 23, 2011 had a sampler of 6 / 4oz pours - you pick them. also had some food - very good. DuClaw has a nice variety of beer styles from low abv session beers to imperials to the high 22% abv colossus. nice diverse food menu. good service. great upscale industrial ambiance. | quysuong (5), Maryland does not count - explanation | | May 17, 2011 All i can say is " the beers selection are outstanding" | | Robert209 (10), Maryland | | May 4, 2011 I love this place , Px nemisis and grub ! | evr1dr (5), Virginia does not count - explanation | | November 11, 2010 Stopped in for a few pints and a snack. Nice place. I sat in the bar and started with a Serum. Very tasty. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. I was in during a slow time and chatted beer with the bar keep for an hour. The appetizer I had was delicious, but slightly overpriced. The beers were a solid value. I will go back anytime I’m in the area. | | msante79 (253), Mount Prospect, Illinois | | July 28, 2010 [ Updated August 10, 2010 ] Nice modern atmosphere. Bar is seperated from rest of restaurant. Went on both Wednesday and Friday nights and both were relatively slow. First time I got the 10 beer sampler for $15 which is a pretty good deal as samples were at least 3-4oz. All beers were solid and they had 3 specials and a couple of seasonals. Food is upscale bar food. Fish and chips was a little weak for area but burger was solid. Will come back for happy hour which has some nice deals. Not what I would think of when a Northeastern brewpub comes to mind but this is much better than anything else in the area.
Have been back about 5 times in the last 3 weeks and this place has grown on me. Bartenders are cool. Actually bought be a beer tonight, which never happens in this day and age. Best night to go is Tuesday. Happy hour prices all night long. Beers are pretty high quality overall. Can’t beat 3 glasses of Serum and Buffalo tenders and fries for under $15. | | sinkr (16), Lusby, Maryland | | November 26, 2007 The brick facade doesn’t exactly do it for me, making me feel like I’m more in a jail cel, than even in a restaurant, let alone a brewpub.
Their selection is pretty much on track with what the brewery offers, which is good and they’re not too snooty to sell you a growler of what they have on tap.
Service can be sketchy, especially if you’re not sitting at the bar and the food is typical American-ish. | | beachbum25 (63), Powellville, Maryland | | November 26, 2007 A stand alone location (although it’s @ the Bowie Town Center) gave this place more of a local than Arundel Mills. No one just wandering in lost from the mall, you have to come in here by design. Sat at the bar, modern decor, friendly crowd & help, and a lot of people getting Growlers filled the day before Thanksgiving. Good beer selection when I was there, had 10 on tap. Food was decent & the place is non smoking!! I enjoyed it! | | illinismitty (275), Nashville, Tennessee | | January 15, 2007 [ Updated January 25, 2007 ] Like the Arundel Mills location, the bar is separated from the Restaurant. It is also very nicely designed with a contemporary vibe to match the vibe of Duclaw’s branding style. Menu is the same, as well as the beers. The main difference is that this is a stand alone building and is smoke free. It was not very busy when I stopped in, but seemed to have a mixed crowd as well as some regulars. Two days later I went to the Serum release and it was packed with tons of locals. I hardly ever go through the area without stopoing here or at Arundel Mills. |
