So I look at the score I am giving this place and its honestly much better but the selection that was on tap when I was there did hold it back *although was still good. That being said its a great set-up, went for lunch and it was nice and quiet - had attentive service, food was very good and reasonable, although drinks were somewhat on the expensive side (happy hour and Saturday flights seems to be the way to go to save a few bucks though). The cellar list of bottles is definitely worth looking through and I imagine this is the kind of place that depending on when you go they can have amazing selection - just wasn’t the case when I visited so hoping when I am next in town they up the anty.

Hard to find much bad to say about this place. Lovely place for a pint or 6. Great decor. I didn’t look much at the bottle list, but it seemed extensive. Tap list was great. Went late on a Friday evening, and the crowd was very young.

Its great to have Blue Monk as my local. Its a smallish place, which gets crowded later in the evening. Selection is hands down the best in Western New York and every time I travel somewhere like NY or San Francisco I’m amazed that a bar in Buffalo has a better selection than the best places in these major cities. Drafts rotate constantly with a heavy emphasis on Belgian imports & high end American micros. Bottle list is solid but emphasis tends to be on draft offerings. For what they’re pouring prices very reasonable - I assume that bar prices are twice what I would pay at a bottle shop and blue monk’s prices usually fall around or below that level.

Nice place. Stopped in for the "Sour Saturday" and was pleased. They also had a ton of Mikkeller single hop IPA’s on tap from a few days ago. 32 taps total, all craft beer. Food was good and not too expensive. Plenty of Cantillon bottles available too. Would go back more often, but it’s 1.5 hours from my house.

The draft line up is impressive, you can get a rare treat once in a while - a bit disappointed with the bottle selection, but not a big deal because the draught speaks for it self. Great food - great service - kudos to Mike!

Awesome place, mostly Belgians on tap and bottles, but they have a good collection of European and American brews as well. Great food and it really transforms at night to a bar atmosphere.

Stopped in for dinner while in town for a Bills game, on a recommendation from our hotel receptionist. Pretty nice atmosphere, dimly lit but decorated with beer bottles and such, and with 32 beers on tap. I’ve had many of those beers before, but was pleasantly surprised to see some rarer stuff available as well. The bottle selection was also pretty nice. The food was very good; I had some poutine (duck-fat fries smothered in cheese curds and gravy), followed by a duck confit reuben. My brother had a delicious sausage/potato pancake dish, and my dad enjoyed a plate of mussels. I had a Jack Daniels barrel treatment of an Emelisse beers, followed by a Troubadour Magma. A great evening, and I look forward to returning sometime.

Well, loved this place. Great ambiance, pretty god service. Great tap list, updated daily. Lots of rare belgians and lots of other interesting choices. Great authentic (maily) Belgian ’themed’ food. Will be back here most trips to Bufallo.

Un bel endroit mais un choix très limité en terme de qualité au fût. La carte bouteille n’est pas beaucoup plus encourageante, Entre kwak et maredsous delirium guiness ou trappe double on fait bien mieux dans la région en choix.
