4th Avenue Pub

Klassischer Pub. Nicht weit weg vom Barclays Center in Brooklyn. War dort vor dem Konzert von Black Sabbath. Nettes Bar Personal. Würde ich wieder hin gehen.

Old school bar with a backyard. Taplist throws up some exciting oddities from time to time, so worth keeping an eye on. Otherwise not somewhere I would go out of my way for.

Visited in early afternoon, not many people inside. They had anniversary party day before so beer list was quite good BCBS 2012, Rumpkin, Allagash Neddles. I guess their regular offer is less interesting. Service was good.

Small, noisy, hipster, has a backyard. 30 beers on tap, bottles also available, good selections, typical bar staff, no food. Worth a visit occasionally.

Pretty standard Brooklyn neighborhood bar but comes with a better than average tap list. Have had Hill Farmstead in here a couple of times. Pretty large backyard so probably comes into it’s own in the warmer months. A good place to hang out with friends but I wouldn’t call it a destination for out of town Rbeerians.

First stop on my visit to NYC. Visited during a snowy Sunday evening. Impressive draft list with beers like Hopslam available. Bargirl was a bit confused, but in a charming way. No flights or tasters available. All together a cool place, decently crowded for a Sunday. Would not mind visiting again.

4th Avenue Pub is well located for a stop between St Gambrinus and Threes on any self-respecting Brooklyn beer tour. It stands out as much more of pub as the other beer establishments surrounding it. Pretty dark inside with a strong smell of freshly popped popcorn… We sat at the bar near the window and were served immediately. In my opinion the beer selection is a bit tamer than some of the surrounding bars. The breweries available on my visit were more regionals than locals, with the likes of Lagunitas, Sierra Nevada, Ommegang and Stone. Good beer nonetheless, I would just have liked a few more local offerings. A decent spot, but not the best in the area.

Dimly lit small neighbourhood bar with an interesting and eclectic beer draught list, attentive service. Nice place in a great location.

Been here a few times. Small bar with 20 or so tap lines and some bottles. Friendly staff every time I visit. No half pours. Outdoor area which is nice.

I visited midweek at opening time. This is a cool pub with a friendly bartender and patrons. I felt welcomed as soon as I arrived. The tap list is solid - nothing mind bending but good options. I happened to gain great insight into the local area due to folks in the bar, giving a real local’s pub vibe. Good banter and worth a trek out here.
