| markwise (124), North of Tampa, Florida | | February 14, 2012 This place was pretty cool. The restaurant itself was open and airy with lots of natural light. Sampled most of the beers they had between our whole table, and they had a few really solid beers like the helles and the hopgasm. The service was decent, the lady at the bar poured us all samplers, and returned periodically to check on our beers. The food was very enjoyable- homemade veggie burger with a wonderfully thick pretzel. A bit pricey, but a very worthwhile dining experience, especially during the time of the cask fest. | | ck1 (19), Illinois | | January 3, 2012 Very interesting place. Huge inside (and our waiter Big Ken was huge as well) but nice atmosphere. Hard to find searching only by address, but we are unfamiliar with area completely. I would say this is leaning towards an upscale restaurant that happens to make its own beer. Food was excellent but pricey. Beers all above average, with the Dunkel being the best of the four we managed to have. At times hard to get service, but it was a busy Friday night. Absolutely worth another visit. | | alagnak (48), Littleton, Colorado | | December 5, 2011 Cool, very out-of-place (in a good way) find in the cookie-cutter higher-end-strip-mall desert that is this part of Atlanta. Despite the afore-mentioned cool high ceilings/modernized wood interior, it maintains a nice cozy pub feel to it. All the beers I tried (3-4) were good to very good. Food menu looked quite good, but all I had time for was a pretzel - and it and the cheese/mustard schmear that it came with were kind of a mess (which is surprising for something that simple). Didn’t want to ding them on that since the rest looked really good.
If you’re in this part of atlanta, well worth a stop or 2. | johnmchue (1), , does not count - explanation | | November 15, 2011 this is a large, very elegant establishment with high ceilings and a wooden structure. The large venting ducts have been painted to match and everything comes together very well. The service is good, no big gripes when I was there. The selection of beers on tap was very well rounded for any tastes. The food was all very tasty and modern,This is definatelly a not miss spot in Atlanta. | | hopsdiva (13), Atlanta, Georgia | | June 12, 2011 [ Updated July 25, 2011 ] While all three 5 Seasons have the same Executive Chef, in David Larkworthy, this location is set apart due to Brewmaster Kevin McNerney. Formerly Head Brewer at Avery Brewing Company in Bolder and Co-founder of SweetWater Brewing Company in Atlanta, Kevin moved to 5 Season in 2008 to spend more time with his family. It was then that I experienced my first of many Hopgasams - his inaugural release with 5 different hops including Simcoe and Amarillo. If IPA’s aren’t your thing, the Kilt Lifter Scotch Ale is also a favorite. | | jw0406 (29), atlanta, Georgia | | May 1, 2011 Nice selection of beer from five seasons. I always get the sampler and then choose my favorite. Food is local, fresh and good. Staff is very good and friendly. A nice place for dinner | | beernovice39 (146), South Carolina | | October 11, 2010 [ Updated March 10, 2012 ] After visiting Westside we went here for dinner and more beer. Wife liked Westside better, I liked here. More beer and more selection of less artsy food. Staff great just like WS. | | curtdawsey (10), | | June 4, 2010 [ Updated December 15, 2011 ] review deleted | Zest4itall (1), Georgia does not count - explanation | | January 15, 2010 Great atmosphere! cool high ceilings, indrustrial feel and cool beers. Very good food and pleasant staff. | | lithy (156), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | | November 17, 2009 7 beers available with space for several more. A bit darker than the other 5 Seasons locations. If you sit at the bar you can stare right into the brewery area behind glass. Samplers were done in nice wide glasses like the North location, unlike the Westside location. |
